Jung Ho Kang (hand) is back in Tuesday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

Kang missed back-to-back starts after leaving Saturday's game with a jammed left hand, but he's feeling better now. He'll bat cleanup against right-hander Shelby Miller.

Orioles LHP prospect John Means fanned eight hitters over seven shutout frames Monday in a win for High-A Frederick.

Means surrendered three hits (all singles) and a walk while throwing 63 of his 94 pitches for strikes. The 23-year-old is undefeated in nine starts this year with a dazzling 1.80 ERA. He now ranks second in the Carolina League with 54 strikeouts. Means went 0-3 with a disappointing 6.41 ERA in four starts for the Keys last season but has fared much better this time around.

Padres OF prospect Alex Dickerson delivered a three-run homer in a pinch-hitting appearance Monday in a win for Triple-A El Paso.

The home run extended Dickerson's hitting streak to 21 games. That's the second-longest streak in the minors this year behind Red Sox prospect Andrew Benintendi, who produced a 23-game streak from April 11-May 6. The 25-year collected two hits in 10 at-bats during a two-week stay in San Diego earlier this year. Since returning to Triple-A on May 14, Dickerson has hit a remarkable .571 with four homers and 14 RBI.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon said during a radio appearance that Jason Heyward (ribs) is expected to return to the starting lineup Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Heyward hasn't played since he suffered a contusion on his right side while making a fantastic catch on Friday against the Giants. However, he took batting practice without any issues on Monday and has apparently convinced the Cubs that he's ready to go.

Diamondbacks RHP prospect Braden Shipley hurled six scoreless innings Monday in a no-decision for Triple-A Reno.

The former first-round pick allowed just three hits while matching a season-high with eight strikeouts. All three of the hits came within the first two innings as Shipley set down the final 15 batters he faced. The right-hander has pitched to a brilliant 2.10 ERA in May after struggling through a mediocre opening month (4.07 ERA in April).

Mike Dunn (forearm) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with High-A Jupiter.

Dunn, who is coming back from a forearm strain, is expected to throw around 20 pitches. The plan calls for him to get the day off Wednesday before pitching again on Thursday. The southpaw could be back with the Marlins next week if all goes well.

Tigers IF/OF prospect JaCoby Jones slammed his first home run of the 2016 season Monday in a win for Double-A Erie.

In addition to his solo shot off Reading left-hander Tom Windle, Jones also contributed an RBI single as part of a four-run seventh inning. Jones has gotten off to a strong start with four multi-hit games in his first six contests. Through 26 at-bats, his slugging percentage sits at an impressive .577. The 24-year-old served a 50-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy earlier this year.
