Francisco Lindor stroked two singles in four at-bats and scored a run on Saturday.

He is batting .304 with 12 homers, 68 runs, 49 RBI and 13 steals. Lindor has hit better in the majors than he ever did in the minors. He has been a very productive fantasy shortstop the last two seasons and is still only 22 years old.

Jose Fernandez allowed two runs over seven innings in Saturday's win over the Mets.

Fernandez surrendered seven hits and walked two on the evening, striking out seven. The win was his 12th of the year, third-most in the NL. The 23-year-old owns a 2.54 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 175/35 K/BB ratio into Thursday's start at the Cardinals.

Jay Bruce - OF - Reds

Jay Bruce went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run to lead the Reds to a 6-1 win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

The blast gave him 20 for the season with 69 RBI. He also doubled tonight. His .859 OPS is a nice gift for his owners after his sub-par 2014 and 2015 seasons. Bruce is highly likely to be traded in the next 10 days, but tonight he remained a key member of the team that drafted him in the first round in 2005.
Jul 23 - 11:30 PM

Keyvius Sampson surrendered one run in 4 1/3 innings but didn't last long enough to qualify for the win as the Reds beat the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Making his first start of the season after seven relief appearances, Sampson struck out six and walked two while allowing four base hits. He has a 4.79 ERA with 22 strikeouts and a whopping 16 walks in 20 2/3 innings. Despite the solid effort in tonight's spot start, Sampson is not a recommended pitcher to add to your team.
Jul 23 - 11:18 PM

Justin Turner went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in the Dodgers' 7-2 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Turner hit a two-run double in the third inning. The multi-hit game was his fifth in his last six contests, and Turner is hitting a robust .324 with 19 RBI and 14 runs scored in the month of July. The 31-year-old is batting .269/.345/.488 with 18 home runs, 58 RBI and 46 runs scored overall.
Jul 23 - 11:18 PM

Robbie Ray struck out 10 batters against only one walk, but was charged with six runs -- three earned -- in his five innings of work during a loss to the Reds on Saturday.

Ray had great stuff tonight but was victimized by a Jake Lamb three-run error and a Jay Bruce three-run bomb. Ray has a fantastic 132 strikeouts in 109 1/3 innings. His ability to whiff batters has not translated to run prevention so far this year. He will take his 5-9 record and 4.53 ERA into a start in Milwaukee on Thursday.
Jul 23 - 11:14 PM

Matt Adams homered in his second straight game in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

What must have seemed like just a few hours after his 16th-inning heroics Friday night, Adams hit a solo shot off Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda in the fifth inning to get the Cardinals on the board. The home run was his 12th of the year. Adams is hitting .261/.308/.486 with 41 RBI on the year.
Jul 23 - 11:09 PM

Joey Votto stayed hot on Saturday, going 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base.

Votto got off to a very slow start this season, but has been back to his usual stellar self for a good while now. For the season he is slashing .275/.410/.484 and that line is likely to continue its steady climb down the stretch. He has 17 home runs, 58 runs, 50 RBI and seven stolen bases.
