Anquan Boldin had two catches for 34 yards in Sunday night's loss to the Bears.

He was targeted six times. With Michael Crabtree healthy, Boldin was the No. 3 option. Vernon Davis left in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury, so Boldin could potentially see an expanded role in Week 3 against the Cardinals.
Sep 15 - 1:41 AM

Alshon Jeffery secured 3-of-6 targets for 47 yards in Sunday night's Week 2 win over the 49ers.

Jeffery was clearly playing injured, and had just one catch for four yards at half. His only notable play was a 29 yard fade route he caught over 49ers CB Chris Culliver. With the Bears playing on Monday night, Jeffery will have eight days to get healthy for Week 3.
Sep 15 - 1:34 AM

Michael Crabtree caught seven passes for 82 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's loss to the Bears.

Crabtree was Colin Kaepernick's clear No. 1 option, drawing a team-high nine targets. He got wide open for a three-yard touchdown in the first quarter, with the majority of his yardage coming on the 49ers' final two drives. Crabtree's calf injury is no longer an issue. He's an upside WR2 in Week 3.
Sep 15 - 1:26 AM

Brandon Marshall had five catches for 48 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday night's win over the 49ers.

Marshall had arguably the best catch of the season on a one-handed 17-yard touchdown over 49ers CB Jimmy Ward at the end of the first half. All three of his scores came against Ward. He tied for the team lead with eight targets and played the entire game despite his questionable status. Marshall has 13 catches for 119 yards and four touchdowns through two weeks.
Sep 15 - 1:13 AM

Frank Gore rushed for 63 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown in Sunday night's Week 2 loss to the Bears.

He added two catches for 12 yards. Gore's touchdown came on an eight-yard counter run. He surprisingly saw just five carries in the second half despite averaging 4.8 YPC. Gore lost a red-zone carry and passing down work to Carlos Hyde, but remains the lead back. He'll be an RB2 for Week 3 against the Cardinals.
Sep 15 - 12:57 AM

Matt Forte had 12 carries for 24 yards in Sunday night's win over the 49ers.

Forte was shut down by the 49ers' run defense, and had five catches for just 15 yards on eight targets. The Bears offense wasn't effective despite scoring four touchdowns, and capitalized off good field position following Colin Kaepernick's second-half interceptions. This might end up as Forte's worst game of the season. Forte has another tough matchup in Week 3 against the Jets.
Sep 15 - 12:47 AM

Colin Kaepernick completed 21-of-34 passes for 248 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in Sunday night's loss to the Bears.

He also lost a fumble and took four sacks. Kaepernick had another interception overturned or it would have been an even bigger disaster. His back-to-back picks to Bears CB Kyle Fuller in the fourth quarter cost the 49ers the game. Kaepernick's lone touchdown was a three-yard throw in the flats to Michael Crabtree. The only positive is he managed to come away with 66 rushing yards. With Vernon Davis dealing with an ankle injury, Kaepernick should be avoided for a matchup with the Cardinals in Week 3.
Sep 15 - 12:25 AM

Jay Cutler completed 23-of-34 passes for 176 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday night's 28-20 win over the 49ers.

It was a tale of two halfs for Cutler. His first two quarters were filled with overthrows and near-interceptions. He bounced back with three touchdowns in the second half, which were set up by Colin Kaepernick's interceptions. Cutler hooked up with Brandon Marshall on three of his scores, and hit Martellus Bennett on a fade in the fourth quarter. Cutler needs to be in fantasy lineups for a matchup with the Jets in Week 3. He ranks behind only Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan with 86 pass attempts.
