Steelers RT Marcu Gilbert is listed as doubtful for Week 8 with a concussion.

Gilbert did not practice at all this week, and is very unlikely to play. The swinging gate known as Mike Adams should get the start at right tackle.

The Union-Tribune San Diego said it "seems fairly certain" Chargers CB Jason Verrett (shoulder) will not play Week 9.

Verrett was surprisingly active against the Broncos on Thursday, but was forced from the game after aggravating his shoulder injury. There is some concern he made the injury worse. Verrett will see a specialist on Monday, and could be looking at an extended absence.

Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) is likely to play against the Titans, but will be on a "pitch count."

"I thought what he did what he had to do this week," coach Bill O’Brien said. "I think he’s got a good shot to play on Sunday." Clowney has been sidelined since tearing his meniscus in Week 1.

Chargers FS Jahleel Addae has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Addae looked disoriented and appeared to go into convulsions after a big hit against the Broncos on Thursday night. It appeared evident Addae had suffered a concussion on the play, but he was cleared on the sidelines and allowed to stay in the game. Addae was not diagnosed with a concussion until additional tests were run on Friday. Addae's status will be updated next week.

Chiefs SS Eric Berry is questionable for Week 8 with an ankle injury.

Berry has been out five weeks with a high-ankle sprain. He got in limited practices every day this week, and has looked "pretty good" according to coach Andy Reid. Berry is shaping up as a game-time decision. Ron Parker would get the nod if Berry cannot go.

ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini said New York wants to make Harvin a "downfield threat."

Harvin was used as essentially a pass-catching running back in Seattle, catching balls at or near the line of scrimmage and being asked to make plays himself. The Jets will likely push Harvin downfield more, which should help his fantasy value in the long run. With his role in the offense still unclear, Harvin is a risky fantasy start this week, but his outlook moving forward is a couple shades brighter.
Oct 25 - 9:10 AM

Packers SS Morgan Burnett is questionable for Week 8 with a calf injury.

He did not practice all week, but coach Mike McCarthy said Burnett was improving and would be given every chance to play. Micah Hyde and rookie Ha Ha Clinton-Dix would draw the starts at safety if Burnett cannot go. Sean Richardson would also see an expanded role.
Oct 25 - 8:52 AM

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss confirms Jonas Gray now projects as the Patriots top "big back."

Gray is ahead of both Brandon Bolden and James White. The 2012 UDFA out of Notre Dame was expected to have a bigger role than the three carries he got in Week 7, but the Patriots got absolutely dominated in time of possession and didn't want to challenge the Jets' elite run defense. In different game-flow situations, Gray could have a real role. He's worth adding in deeper formats.
