Danny Salazar suffered a cut nail/blister on his right middle finger when he allowed a three-run homer to Prince Fielder in the fifth inning Tuesday.

He remained in the game to record four more outs after that. It's not clear at this point whether Salazar's next start could possibility be affected, but obviously the Indians will be monitoring him. He yielded three runs over 5 2/3 frames Tuesday.

Danny Salazar allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings in Tuesday's no-decision against the Rangers.

Salazar worked into and out of trouble in the first four innings before serving up a three-run homer in the fifth. He gave up six hits and three walks in total in the outing. With the no-decision, Salazar is still 5-1 with a 3.65 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 66/12 K/BB ratio on the year. He'll look for a more favorable decision Sunday at the Mariners.
May 26 - 11:58 PM

Wandy Rodriguez was victimized by walks and homers Tuesday, allowing three runs over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision.

Rodriguez got off on the wrong foot, allowing solo homers to Jason Kipnis and Ryan Raburn in the first inning. He'd allowed just two home runs combined in his previous six starts. Rodriguez also walked five and gave up four hits in the outing, striking out six. The southpaw remains 2-2 with a 3.60 ERA on the year. Wandy will face the Red Sox on Sunday.

Kyle Seager hit two huge home runs Tuesday, including a grand slam, and had six RBI in the Mariners' 7-6 win over the Rays in 10 innings.

Seager had an RBI single in the first inning, but that was just the beginning. The third baseman hit a grand slam in the eighth and blasted a game-winning solo homer in the 10th. Seager has nine homers and 29 RBI to go with a .281/.328/.497 line.
May 26 - 11:54 PM

Evan Longoria went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Mariners.

Longoria doubled twice in the game, including a bases-loaded, two-run double in the ninth inning. The third baseman is riding a 10-game hitting streak that has his overall line up to .289/.372/.452. Longoria has 23 RBI and 25 runs scored in the middle of the Rays lineup.
May 26 - 11:49 PM

Fernando Rodney allowed three runs to take a blown save against the Rays on Tuesday, earning the win instead.

It actually could have been worse for Rodney, as he allowed two runs before even recording an out. After Evan Longoria's two-run double, Rodney pulled it together, but he wasn't able to hold onto the lead. Rodney now owns an unsightly 6.98 ERA and 1.71 WHIP, and the Mariners may be forced to look elsewhere for saves shortly.
May 26 - 11:45 PM

Jake Elmore went 2-for-5 with four RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Mariners.

Elmore came through multiple times on the evening, knocking a two-run single in the first inning and adding an RBI single in the third. Elmore also had an RBI ground out in the team's three-run ninth. The outfielder has seven hits in his last 13 at-bats and has likely earned himself some more starts with his hot hitting.
May 26 - 11:38 PM

J.A. Happ registered a quality start but didn't factor in the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs over six innings against the Rays.

Happ gave up seven hits and a walk in the outing. He struck out three in the game. The southpaw hasn't won since May 9, but he still hasn't lost since April 17. Happ remains 3-1 with a 3.71 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. He'll try to get his next win Sunday against the Indians.
