Dan Straily yielded three runs over 5 1/3 innings in an 8-5 win over the Angels on Friday.

Straily was pulled after giving up a two-run homer to Martin Maldonado in the sixth inning. He struck out six and walked a pair for his second straight victory and now sits at 3-3 with a 3.83 ERA and 54/24 K/BB ratio in 54 innings across 10 starts. He has an appealing matchup against the Phillies up next.

Jesse Chavez was knocked around for five runs over 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Marlins on Friday.

It was his shortest start of the season. Chavez gave up eight hits, including a long two-run homer to Giancarlo Stanton and a solo blast to J.T. Realmuto. He has now allowed 13 home runs in just 58 1/3 innings this season to go along with a 5.09 ERA. His fantasy appeal continues to be limited.

A.J. Ramos needed just one pitch to covert his fifth save of the season Friday against the Angels.

Kyle Barraclough began the ninth inning with a five-run lead, but he gave up two runs before Marlins manager Don Mattingly brought in Ramos to face Mike Trout with one on and two out. He got Trout to fly out deep to center field to end the ballgame. Ramos was coming off a couple of shaky appearances in non-save situations, but he has converted all five of his save chances this season.

Justin Bour had another big night at the plate Friday, finishing 2-for-3 with a three-run homer against the Angels.

Bour extended the Marlins’ lead when he took lefty Jose Alvarez deep in the sixth inning. It’s worth noting that Angels manager Mike Scioscia elected to intentionally walk Marcell Ozuna to pitch to Bour in that situation. Ouch. The 28-year-old now has nine home runs over his last 14 games, including four homers off southpaws. He’s regularly been benched against lefties in the past, so he has the potential to be a lot more interesting in fantasy leagues if he has figured something out here.

Christian Yelich (hip) went 3-for-3 with three doubles, a walk, and two runs scored in his return to action Friday against the Angels.

Yelich didn’t play Wednesday after leaving Tuesday’s game with right hip flexor tightness, but he should be good to go moving forward. This was his first multi-hit game since May 12.

Martin Maldonado went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday’s loss to the Marlins.

Maldonado took Dan Straily deep in the sixth inning. He later hurt his thumb tagging Giancarlo Stanton at home plate in the eighth inning, though he remained in the game. The 30-year-old has handled the bulk of the catching duties with the Angels this season while batting .271/.333/.388 with three home runs and 12 RBI through 42 games.

Bud Norris is considered day-to-day with soreness in his right knee.

The injury forced the veteran right-hander to leave Friday's game against the Marlins. It doesn't sound like he'll require a trip to the disabled list, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him held out through the rest of the weekend as a precautionary measure.

Joe Musgrove fired seven scoreless frames in a 2-0 victory over the Orioles on Friday.

It was easily his best start of the season. Musgrove held the Orioles to just four hits while walking none and striking out six. He gave up seven runs in his last start and issued three walks in three out of his last four starts, making his rotation spot vulnerable, but this outing likely buys him some more time.
