Josh Harrison went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

Harrison has now cracked doubles in three of his last five games. This was his second three-hit showing in that space, to boot. For the campaign as a whole, the second baseman is slashing .277/.355/.432 with 11 homers, 32 RBI, 46 runs and 10 steals scored over the course of 361 at-bats.

David Freese went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

After the Pirates fell behind 5-1, Freese inched them closer with a solo homer off Kyle Freeland in the sixth inning. The veteran third baseman is hitting .251/.385/.372 with seven homers and 30 RBI in 77 games. While he has a little five-game hitting streak going, his offensive contributions have been limited on the whole.

Kyle Freeland allowed two runs on six hits over six innings in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Freeland struck out three and walked one on the afternoon. Josh Bell knocked him for an RBI single in the fourth and David Freese took him deep for a solo shot in the sixth, but otherwise the Pirates were unable to dent the scoreboard on his watch. The rookie southpaw will bring a 3.64 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 72/43 K/BB ratio (116 1/3 innings) into a potentially troublesome road start against the Nationals next time he toes the rubber.
Jul 23 - 6:54 PM

Ivan Nova allowed seven runs on nine hits over five-lus innings in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

Nova was able to keep the Rockies off the board until the fourth inning, when he surrendered four runs. Charlie Blackmon would add on with a solo homer in the fifth before the Rockies knocked him out of the game in the sixth. Nova struck out five and walked one in the lackluster effort. He will try for better times when he carries his 3.62 ERA and 1.16 WHIP into a road start against the Padres next time he takes to the mound.

Justin Upton went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI as the Tigers topped the Twins 9-6 on Sunday afternoon.

Upton delivered an RBI double to get the Tigers on the board in the third inning. He also swiped his ninth base of the season in the contest and scored a run. The Tigers' most consistent hitter this season, Upton is hitting .280/.368/.511 with 16 homers, 61 RBI and nine stolen bases.
Jul 23 - 6:45 PM

Jose Iglesias blasted a two-run homer as the Tigers topped the Twins in Minnesota on Sunday.

His two-run shot gave the Tigers a 4-2 lead in the seventh inning. He later added an RBI single, finishing the afternoon 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and three RBI. The defensive whiz is hitting .264/.294/.363 with three homers and 31 RBI on the year.
Jul 23 - 6:43 PM

Justin Wilson secured his 12th save of the season on Sunday, allowing one run on one hit and a walk over 1 1/3 innings against the Twins.

Wilson was summoned to get the final out in the eighth inning with the Tigers leading by a run, then was left on to finish the ninth. He racked up three strikeouts in his outing. His name continues to be very popular on the trade front and it looks increasingly likely that he'll be donning a new uniform in August.
Jul 23 - 6:38 PM

Matt Boyd racked up a career-high eight strikeouts over six-plus innings of three-run baseball on Sunday in a victory over the Twins.

The southpaw scattered four hits and three walks on the afternoon. Boyd was tagged for a two-run homer by Eduardo Escobar in the second inning, but that was the only damage against him until the bullpen allowed one of his inherited runners to score in the seventh. Boyd will carry a 5.48 ERA and 1.68 WHIP into Saturday's difficult matchup against the Astros.
