Khris Davis went 2-for-4 with a pair of triples in Wednesday's loss to the Giants.

Despite tripling twice, the Brewers couldn't bring him home. Davis entered the game with two career triples in 865 plate appearances. The outfielder is batting .252/.335/.449 on the year with five home runs and 16 RBI.

Joe Panik's two-run home run proved to be all the offense the Giants needed to take down the Brewers on Wednesday.

Panik turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead with a two-run home run to right field off of Mike Fiers. He finished 2-for-4 on the afternoon. Panik has hit safely in 21 of 24 May games and is now batting .297/.366/.430 with three home runs and 17 RBI.

Orioles signed LHP Ariel Miranda to a minor league contract.

The deal was agreed to last week and then finalized Wednesday after Miranda passed his physical. The 25-year-old Cuban left-hander will likely spend a few weeks at the Orioles' spring training complex before joining one of the club's lower-level minor league affiliates. He was primarily used as a starter in Serie Nacional.

Dodgers acquired RHP Juan Jaime, INF Alberto Callaspo, LHP Eric Stults, and LHP Ian Thomas from the Braves for 3B Juan Uribe and RHP Chris Withrow.

Jaime has posted troubling walk rates in both the minors and majors, and is nothing more than a throw-in here. The 27-year-old righty will head to extended spring training before joining the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate.

Dodgers acquired LHP Ian Thomas, INF Alberto Callaspo, LHP Eric Stults, and RHP Juan Jaime from the Braves for 3B Juan Uribe and RHP Chris Withrow.

Thomas has posted some intriguing minor league numbers, but he's allowed 11 walks in 16 career major league frames. The 28-year-old lefty reliever will head to the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City.

Scott Kazmir was pulled from his start Wednesday against the Tigers with an apparent injury.

Kazmir had rattled off three hitless innings to open the game, but Dan Otero took the mound in the top of the fourth for the host A's. There should be an update soon. Kazmir is in a contract year and had been looking like an attractive trade chip this summer for Oakland.

David Robertson blew the save but vultured a win as the White Sox won 5-3 in 10 innings over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Robertson was victimized by Josh Donaldson on Tuesday as he hit a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Donaldson bit him again on Wednesday, hitting a game-tying solo home run in the ninth. The White Sox rallied for two runs in the top of the 10th and Robertson tossed a scoreless bottom-half to grab the win. He's 4-1 and 9-for-12 in save chances with a 2.61 ERA and a 31/3 K/BB ratio in 20 2/3 innings.
May 27 - 4:27 PM

Marco Estrada gave up three runs in seven innings, taking a no-decision as the Blue Jays lost in 10 innings on Wednesday.

Estrada fell behind in the third inning when Jose Abreu brought in two runs with a double. The third run came in the sixth on a J.B. Shuck single. He allowed eight hits in total while walking none and striking out two. Estrada has been mediocre since moving into the rotation in early May, sporting a 5.02 ERA and a 22/9 K/BB ratio in 28 2/3 innings as a starter. He'll look for better results in his next start, which comes on the road against the Nationals.
