Lewis Brinson went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in a victory over the Giants on Monday.

He also walked. Brinson came up clutch for the Marlins on Monday, lining an opposite-field single in the top of the ninth to tie the game at 4-4 off of Hunter Strickland. The rookie outfielder still has an ugly .183/.226/.326 line on the 2018 season, but there's been just enough games like this over his MLB career to suggest he just might be a regular and live up to his prospect hype.

Kyle Barraclough picked up his sixth save of the season while working a perfect ninth against the Giants on Monday.

Barraclough struck out one while not allowing any baserunners in the save. The right-hander has been just as effective working out of the closer role, and in addition to the six saves, he owns a minuscule 1.11 ERA and 0.77 WHIP over 32 1/3 innings in 33 appearances.

Miguel Rojas drove in three runs while going 2-for-4 in a 5-4 victory over the Giants on Monday.

Rojas had the biggest hit of the game, finishing a two-run comeback against the Giants with a knock against Hunter Strickland to score Cameron Maybin and give the Marlins the lead, and ultimately, the victory. The three runs batted in give him 27 on the season, and he's now slashing .235/.301/.350 over 71 games.

Caleb Smith allowed four runs over four innings in a no decision against the Giants on Monday.

Smith didn't have his best stuff in this one, allowing six hits and two walks over the four innings. Even with the lackluster effort he still sports a respectable 3.91 ERA, and he's struck out 87 hitters in 76 innings. Smith will try to improve those numbers on Sunday, but he'll have to do it while pitching in Coors Field against the Rockies.

Andrew Suarez gave up just two runs in 6 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts in a no decision against the Marlins on Monday.

Suarez was facing the Marlins for the second-straight start, and the southpaw once again pitched reasonably well. He allowed five hits, and he walked one and struck out seven. He still sports a 4.70 ERA, but there have been flashes that suggest Suarez can be a quality backend starter. He'll start again on Saturday when Suarez and the Giants face the Padres in San Diego.

Shin-Soo Choo homered, doubled and walked three times to lead the Rangers to a 6-3 win over the Royals on Monday

If only Choo could always face the Royals; he has three homers and he's reached base 15 times in five games against the club this season. While there's been a fair amount of talk about Nick Markakis finally making it to his first All-Star Game this year, Choo is another guy who has had a fine career and might be in line to go for the first time. Choo stands at 32.6 rWAR in a career that began in 2005. Markakis is at 32.2 rWAR since 2006.

Bartolo Colon beat the Royals by allowing three runs in six innings on Monday.

Colon allowed nine hits and struck out just one, but that was good enough. He hasn't struck out more than four batters in any of his last 11 starts now, and he's barely keeping it together with a 4.91 ERA overall.

Amed Rosario went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two RBI in an easy win over the Rockies on Monday.

Rosario's doubles give him 12 on the year. Even with the three hits, Rosario is hitting an ugly .246/.274/.371 on the 2018 campaign, and he's on pace for 49 RBI and nine homers on the season. You can't panic about the long-term future of Rosario -- he won't turn 23 until November -- but it's fair to say that he's been a fantasy disappointment in 2018.
