Bears LG Kyle Long (ankle) remained limited at Wednesday's practice.

He's expected back this week after sitting out the first two games with a lingering ankle issue. Tom Compton has been filling in for Long at left guard.

Jets coach Todd Bowles said it's too early to tell if TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins will be active this week.

Seferian-Jenkins is eligible to return from suspension, but is reportedly out of shape after his two-week layoff. With Jordan Leggett and Eric Tomlinson dealing with injuries, the Jets may be forced to play him despite his conditioning. Seferian-Jenkins is likely going to be on a snap count if active. He should be avoided as a Week 3 streamer.

Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick (hand) plans to play against the Cardinals in Week 3.

Scandrick sat out Sunday's game in Denver with a fractured left hand but plans to be a full go this week. His return should force rookie Chidobe Awuzie back to the bench.
Sep 20 - 6:06 PM

Saints CB Marshon Lattimore (concussion) didn't practice on Wednesday.

Lattimore suffered a concussion Sunday against New England and remains in the league's protocol. Sterling Moore finished up at right corner in Week 2 and should start there if Lattimore can't get the green light Sunday at Carolina.
Sep 20 - 6:04 PM

Saints LT Terron Armstead (shoulder) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

It's not a good start to the week for Armstead, who is still making his way back from offseason shoulder surgery. Ryan Ramcyk has been spelling him at left tackle.
Sep 20 - 6:02 PM

The Bears are "hopeful" Markus Wheaton (finger) will make his season debut against the Steelers in Week 3.

He was a full participant at Wednesday's practice. It's taken Wheaton over a month to recover from a broken pinkie but the Bears are confident this will be the week he finally returns to action. He'll join a depleted receiving corps featuring spare parts like Kendall Wright, Keonte Thompson and Josh Bellamy.
Sep 20 - 5:52 PM

Patriots RT Marcus Cannon (ankle, concussion) didn't practice on Wednesday.

Cannon was limited by an ankle injury last week but nonetheless played his full complement of snaps Sunday at New Orleans. Cameron Fleming would likely fill in at right tackle if Cannon can't go Sunday versus Houston.

Packers re-signed DL Ricky Jean-Francois.

The Packers gave up on Jean-Francois after Week 1, but he's back with Mike Daniels sidelined. Jean-Francois will be part of a rotation with Montravius Adams and Quinton Dial opposite Kenny Clark. He isn't guaranteed a spot once Daniels returns.
