Coach Hue Jackson named DeShone Kizer the Browns' starting quarterback for Week 7 against the Titans.

There's some speculation the Browns benched Kizer in Week 6 at Houston to avoid a Kizer-Deshaun Watson matchup after the Browns passed on Watson, who is playing at an MVP level, in order to come back and take Kizer 40 picks later. Kevin Hogan was dreadful in his start, and Jackson is going back to the rookie Kizer. Kizer has far more upside as a thrower and runner, but he has to cut down on the turnovers and sacks taken for this Cleveland offense to get off the mat.

Marqise Lee (knee) is not practicing Wednesday.

Lee had been missing practice time with a ribs issue in recent weeks, so the knee problem is a new concern. Lee saw a season-high 10 targets in Week 6 against the Rams, reeling in five for 83 yards. If he's out there Sunday on the road against a bad Colts pass defense, Lee will be on the WR4 radar.

Leonard Fournette (ankle) is not practicing Wednesday.

This doesn't come as a surprise. Fournette jammed his ankle late in the Week 6 loss to the Rams but was cleared to return, though he didn't. For now, expect Fournette to suit up Sunday in the dome against the Colts.

Broncos signed WR Hunter Sharp off their practice squad.

With Emmanuel Sanders and rookie Isaiah McKenzie both having ankle injuries and set to miss Week 7 against the Chargers, Sharp gets the call-up to fill in behind Demaryius Thomas, Bennie Fowler, Jordan Taylor, and Cody Latimer. Sharp is a second-year UDFA out of Utah State who ran 4.58 at 6'/198.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer expects the Browns to announce DeShone Kizer as their Week 7 starter against the Titans.

Kevin Hogan was a total disaster in his first career NFL start last week against the Texans, going 20-of-37 for 140 yards, one touchdown, and three picks. The Browns were again demolished 33-17, as Hogan was no upgrade on Kizer from Weeks 1-5. Cabot expects the Browns to now go back to the rookie Kizer and "ride with him as long as possible." The Browns are in serious trouble.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6.

It was easily the 33-year-old's best game of the season against Browns QB Kevin Hogan making his first start. According to Pro Football Focus, Joseph was thrown at six times, allowing two catches for three yards and picking off two passes, returning one for a touchdown. Joseph is in the final year of his deal.

Saints DE Cameron Jordan was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6.

Jordan was a true game-wrecker against the Lions, tallying two sacks, three batted passes, and a pick-six as a 4-3 end. The Saints' defense was the top-scoring D/ST unit in fantasy for Week 6. New Orleans doesn't have a ton of playmakers on defense, but Jordan is one. He's Pro Football Focus' top-rater 4-3 end through Week 6, and has five sacks while playing elite run defense.

Jordan Matthews (thumb) has been cleared to practice Wednesday.

He is officially limited as he works his way back from thumb surgery earlier this month. Through four games this season, Matthews has 10 catches for 162 yards and a score. He could play a bigger role with Charles Clay (knee) out. It remains to be seen if Matthews will suit up for Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay.
