Emmanuel Sanders caught 11 passes for 149 yards in Sunday's Week 3 loss at Seattle.

Sep 21 - 8:10 PM

Stevie Johnson caught 9-of-9 targets for 103 yards in San Francisco's Week 3 loss to the Cardinals.

Vernon Davis' lost targets went to Johnson instead of fill-in TE Derek Carrier. Johnson got open at will as he more than doubled his 2014 catch and yardage totals, and looked like a player who still has plenty left in the tank. His angular route running hasn't lost its effectiveness. That being said, the volume just isn't going to be there for Johnson when Davis, Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin are all healthy. Johnson is not a high-upside WR4 stash in 12-team leagues.
Sep 21 - 8:08 PM

Donnie Avery managed two catches for 12 yards on three targets in the Chiefs' Week 3 win over the Dolphins.

It was refreshing to see Avery's role reduced in this one after he absurdly racked up a team-high 19 targets in Kansas City's first two games. Avery is an unattractive WR4/5 in fantasy leagues. The Chiefs face the Patriots next.
Sep 21 - 8:04 PM

John Brown caught 4-of-6 targets for 52 yards and two touchdowns in Arizona's Week 3 win over the 49ers.

Brown logged touchdowns of 24 and 21 yards, with the first coming through the heart of the defense. Brown now has three scores on 15 targets through his first three NFL games. He was Mike Wallace/T.Y. Hilton type speed, but he's not going to be a viable WR3 with that kind of volume. Brown will likely be a more valuable "real life" than fantasy player this season.
Sep 21 - 8:00 PM

Alex Smith completed 19-of-25 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns in the Chiefs' Week 3 win over the Dolphins.

He added 17 yards on two scrambles. Smith was sacked five times, including for a second-half safety, and also lost a fumble. But he resiliently bounced back every time, beating the Dolphins' blitzes with quick hitters and delivering red-zone strikes to Travis Kelce (20 yards), Joe McKnight (11 yards), and Joe McKnight (4 yards) for his hat trick of touchdowns. This was a promising effort from Kansas City after two terribly disappointing ones to open the season. Smith will be a high-end QB2 in Week 4 against the Patriots.
Sep 21 - 8:00 PM

Marshawn Lynch rushed 26 times for 88 yards with a touchdown and caught three passes for 40 yards with another touchdown in the Seahawks' 26-20 overtime Week 3 win over the Broncos.

It was as memorable of a game as February's Super Bowl was forgettable. Peyton Manning forced overtime with an 80-yard touchdown plus 2-point drive and 59 seconds left on the clock. But he never got the ball in overtime, as Russell Wilson marched the Seahawks down the field and Lynch capped it with a 6-yard run. Lynch's first touchdown was a bit more out of the ordinary, as he lined up split wide and caught a slant from five yards out. Don't expect any more receiving days like this, but Lynch is a touchdown machine (four in three games so far). He'll face the Redskins following a Week 4 bye.
Sep 21 - 8:00 PM

Anquan Boldin caught 6-of-6 targets for 36 yards in San Francisco's Week 3 loss to the Cardinals.

Boldin's biggest contribution didn't show up in the box score, as he committed a devastating personal foul in the third quarter, turning a 1st-and-goal from the Cardinals' six-yard line into a 1st-and-"goal" from the Cardinals' 21. The drive ended with a blocked field goal. With Michael Crabtree back to full health, Boldin has been limited to eight catches for 70 yards over his past two games. He's a low-end WR3.
Sep 21 - 7:56 PM

Chiefs RB Cyrus Gray rushed four times for 18 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 3 romp over the Dolphins.

With Jamaal Charles (ankle) inactive, Gray scored a red-zone touchdown in garbage time. Gray is buried on the depth chart in Kansas City and has no fantasy value, whether it be in re-draft or Dynasty leagues.
