Walker Buehler (ribs) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday at Citi Field.

It will be the first time that the right-hander has done so since landing on the disabled list with a microfracture in his right rib. If all goes well with that session, he should be cleared to face live hitters, either in a minor league rehab start or a simulated game.

Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Chase Utley (thumb) will return from the disabled list within the next couple of days.

The 39-year-old was hitting just .216/.302/.324 with one homer and 14 RBI in 126 plate appearances before he was sidelined with a left thumb sprain at the end of May. His days of fantasy relevancy have passed him by.

Giants placed SS Brandon Crawford on the paternity leave list.

He'll miss the next three games to be with his wife for the birth of the couple's fourth child. Kelby Tomlinson was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move to provide infield depth for the Giants' series against the Marlins.

Giants recalled INF Kelby Tomlinson from Triple-A Sacramento.

Tomlinson will function as additional infield depth while Brandon Crawford is away on paternity leave. He's hitting just .226/.274/.283 with no homers and nine RBI in 113 plate appearances with the Giants this season and is irrelevant for fantasy purposes.

Juan Soto crushed a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning on Monday, powering the Nationals past the Yankees in the completion of their May 16th game.

The two sides started play with the score knotted at 3-3 in the sixth inning, and the only scoring on the afternoon was the 19-year-old's two-run blast off of Chad Green in the sixth. Soto finished the day 1-for-2 and is hitting a mighty impressive .316/.407/.608 with six homers and 14 RBI in his first 91 plate appearances at the big league level.

Sean Doolittle recorded his 18th save of the season on Monday, working a perfect ninth inning against the Yankees in the completion of May 16th's game.

Doolittle came in with a two-run lead and mowed down the heart of the Yankees' order, striking out Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, then getting Gary Sanchez on a fly ball. Doolittle has been a monster in the closer's role for the Nationals, compiling a 1.47 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 43/3 K/BB ratio.

Chad Green wound up taking a loss in the completion of a suspended game from May 16.

Green allowed a pair of runs on three hits in his lone inning of work, serving up a two-run homer to Juan Soto that proved to be the difference in teh ballgame. Even with this rough outing, Green still owns a stellar 2.36 ERA and 1.05 WHIP on the season.
