Aaron Judge launched his first career grand slam Sunday in the Yankees' 9-5 win over the A's.

Judge went deep to right in the bottom of the third inning off Athletics starter Andrew Triggs for his MLB-leading 16th home run of the year. He is the youngest Yankee to hit a grand slam since Melky Cabrera in 2006. Judge also singled in the game, finishing 2-for-4, and he's now batting .321/.422/.679.

Khris Davis launched his 15th home run of the season Sunday in the A's loss to the Yankees.

It was a two-run shot in the top of the eighth inning off Yankees reliever Chad Green. Davis also reached on an error in the sixth inning and drew a walk, finishing 1-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored in the afternoon loss in New York. The big slugger is on pace for 50 home runs and 102 RBI.

Michael Pineda allowed three runs -- two earned -- over six innings Sunday in a win over the Athletics.

Pineda gave up only three hits and struck out five, though he did issue three walks. The right-hander stands 6-2 with an impressive 3.32 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 66/12 K/BB ratio through 59 2/3 innings this season for the American League East-leading Yankees. He'll try to keep it all working next time out in Toronto.

Andrew Triggs allowed six runs -- one earned -- over six innings Sunday as the A's fell to the Yankees.

Aaron Judge slugged a grand slam off Triggs in the bottom of the third inning that was preceded by a Matt Joyce fielding error. Triggs gave up six total hits and walked one while striking out three. He'll carry a cool 5-4 record and 2.64 ERA into his next start at home versus the Nationals.

Mike Trout was forced to leaves Sunday's game against the Marlins with a left thumb sprain.

He went for precautionary X-rays which ruled out any fractures. The Angels have yet to comment on how much time, if any, he'll miss due to the injury, but it doesn't sound like it should keep him down for long.

Adam Warren got the final four outs Sunday against the Athletics to earn his first save.

Dellin Betances was used for a five-out save on Saturday, so the Yankees let Warren finish out this one. The right-hander didn't allow a hit and lowered his season ERA to 2.73. Warren also has a shiny 0.84 WHIP.

Josh Tomlin worked a complete game, yielding just one run, as the Indians trounced the Royals 10-1 on Sunday in Cleveland.

The one run he gave up came on a Jorge Bonifacio solo shot in the top of the fifth inning. Tomlin yielded just six total hits and didn't issue a walk while striking out three. He got through all nine innings on 111 pitches, 79 of which went for strikes. The right-hander dropped his season ERA from 6.70 to 5.79.

Jason Kipnis finished 4-for-4 with a walk, a home run, and two RBI in the Rangers' blowout victory over the Royals on Sunday.

Kipnis also doubled and scored two runs in the game. The second baseman still owns a weak .242 batting average and .274 on-base percentage in 128 total at-bats this season, but those numbers have been on the rise. He hit leadoff again on Sunday.
