Tommy Pham went 2-for-3 with a homer and two walks in the Cardinals' win over the Rockies on Monday.

Another good-looking stat line for the 29-year-old outfielder, who's batting .308/.395/.534 with 14 home runs, 43 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and 51 runs scored in 70 games this season. Pham has been a waiver-wire gem in mixed fantasy leagues here in 2017.

Wilson Ramos (head) expects to return to the Rays' lineup by Wednesday.

Ramos will sit out Tuesday after requiring six staples on his head to close a laceration suffered when he was hit by a shattered bat. Evidently he's not experiencing any concussion symptoms and the cut must be relatively minor, which is great news.

Randal Grichuk homered for the fourth straight game Monday as the Cardinals beat the Rockies.

It was a two-run opposite-field shot in the bottom of the fourth inning off Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela. Grichuk has put on a power show lately, but he still holds a rough .227/.280/.458 overall batting line in 2017 and can't be counted on for much consistency down the stretch.

Justin Bour (oblique) will be placed on the 10-day disabled list.

Bour suffered a strained right oblique on Monday. It's unclear at this point how long he'll be sidelined, but oblique injuries typically don't result in minimum stays on the disabled list. Tyler Moore will be in line for more starts at first base.

Pat Valaika hit a pinch-hit two-run homer Monday in the Rockies' loss to the Cardinals.

Valaika went deep off lefty reliever Zach Duke in the top of the eighth inning, providing the Rockies with their only two runs of the night. The 24-year-old utilityman has a .263/.290/.568 batting line with nine homers and 28 RBI in 66 games this season.

Antonio Senzatela surrendered four earned runs in four innings Monday as the Rockies fell to the Cardinals.

Senzatela walked the first two batters he faced in the Cardinals' two-run first inning, setting the tone for the short, ugly outing at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Randal Grichuk popped the rookie right-hander for a two-run homer in the fourth. Senzatela, 22, is sporting a 4.84 ERA over his first 102 1/3 major league frames.

A.J. Ramos threw a scoreless ninth inning in a non-save situation Monday versus the Rangers.

Ramos gave up a leadoff single to Adrian Beltre and a two-out walk to Jonathan Lucroy before inducing a game-ending flyout from Nomar Mazara. The 30-year-old right-hander is a trade candidate for the Marlins with the July 31 deadline rapidly approaching.
Jul 24 - 10:56 PM

Giancarlo Stanton launched two more homers Monday in the Marlins' 4-0 defeat of the Rangers.

Stanton opened the game's scoring with a two-run shot in the top of the first inning off Rangers starter Martin Perez, and he added a solo blast in the top of the eighth off reliever Jeremy Jeffress. The 27-year-old slugger is up to 32 home runs on the season -- just six away from a new career high.
