Rookie Eagles WR/KR Josh Huff (shoulder) says he's healthy.

Sep 30 - 4:37 PM

Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney (meniscus) has resumed jogging, and hopes to return in a "few weeks."

Sidelined since September 7, Clowney was given a 4-6 week timetable upon going down. That makes a "few weeks" attainable, but not ahead of schedule. The Clowney return talk may begin in earnest in Week 7.

Bears promoted WR Chris Williams from the practice squad.

WR Rashad Ross was waived in a corresponding roster move. The Bears made the exact same transactions, only flipped, two weeks ago.
Sep 30 - 4:00 PM

Cardinals released LB Victor Butler.

Butler had yet to be active for the Cardinals. It bodes poorly for Butler's future that a team as edge-rusher needy as Arizona has cut him loose after just two weeks in the desert.

Dolphins activated S Reshad Jones from the reserve/suspended list.

Jones will slide back in as the Dolphins' starting strong safety, sending fill-in Jimmy Wilson back to the nickel/bench. An every-down player, Jones led all safeties in snaps last season, racking up 107 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one pick.

NFL.com's Albert Breer reports a "pre-requisite" for ESPN's Jon Gruden to return to coaching would be a "franchise quarterback."

Per Breer, Gruden "really likes" Oakland's Derek Carr. Chucky is rumored to be atop the Raiders' wish list for a new head coach, but Gruden rumors have been an annual tradition with no pay off. At this point, Gruden is so comfortable — and good — in the broadcast booth we have a hard time believing he'd depart for a reunion with a team that's the biggest circus in all of football. Stranger things have happened, of course.
Sep 30 - 2:49 PM

Teddy Bridgewater (ankle) was held out of Tuesday's practice.

The "hope" is that Bridgewater will be ready for Wednesday's walk-through, but Bridgewater himself has made it clear that he's no sure thing for Thursday's game against the Packers. The short week couldn't be coming at a worse time for the Vikes, who could be forced to turn to Christian Ponder in an important divisional tilt.
Sep 30 - 2:39 PM

Falcons signed OT Cameron Bradfield.

Bradfield started the first two games of the season for the Jaguars, but was released after a legendarily bad performance in Week 2. However, he has 27 games of starting experience, and could be forced to take over right tackle for the Falcons after Lamar Holmes (foot) was sent to injured reserve on Tuesday. Depth and injuries remain huge problems for the Falcons. Although rookie LT Jake Matthews is playing well, Matt Ryan's protection is going to be an issue.
