Leonys Martin (wrist) is out of the Rangers' starting lineup again on Wednesday night.

Martin hasn't played since injuring his left wrist while trying to make a catch on Monday night. He was wearing a brace Tuesday but X-rays turned up negative and he is expected to avoid the disabled list. Delino DeShields Jr. is starting in center field Wednesday.

Tom Koehler was touched up for five runs across six innings in Wednesday's loss to the Nationals.

Bryce Harper was Koehler's nemesis, as the outfielder took him deep three times on the day. Koehler allowed seven hits overall, struck out five and walked one. The right-hander has been quite inconsistent this season and now sports a 5.18 ERA. He'll try to get back on track next week versus the Dodgers.

Bryce Harper launched three home runs and drove in five in Wednesday's victory over the Marlins.

All three dingers came off of Tom Koehler, as he went opposite-field in the second before then hitting monster shots into the right-field upper deck in the third and fifth. Harper came up in the seventh with a chance for a fourth home run but had to settle for an RBI groundout. The 22-year-old now has eight home runs and 20 RBI on the season to go along with a .265/.416/.561 batting line.

Giancarlo Stanton ripped a three-run homer in Wednesday's loss to the Nationals.

He won a battle with Max Scherzer in the eighth inning, sending a pitch well over the left-field wall for his seventh longball of the season. It was Stanton's lone hit in five trips to the plate, but fantasy owners probably aren't complaining. Stanton has driven in 27 this year.

Cubs prospect Jeremy Null tossed eight scoreless frames Tuesday in a win for Low-A South Bend.

Null allowed his first walk of the season on Tuesday. He's surrendered two runs in 30 2/3 innings this season while holding opponents to a miserable .198 average. The 21-year-old's repertoire includes a slider, plus fastball and a much improved change-up. The right-hander was Chicago's Minor League Pitcher of the Month for April.

Michael Saunders (knee) remained out of the Blue Jays' lineup Wednesday.

Saunders has had fluid drained and received a cortisone shot due to swelling in his surgically-repaired left knee. The Jays don't plan to place him on the disabled list, but it's unclear when he'll be ready to return to the lineup. Chris Colabello is in left field Wednesday.

Athletics optioned OF Craig Gentry to Triple-A Nashville.

The A's have chosen to keep Billy Burns around instead. Gentry has just three hits in 35 at-bats this season.
May 6 - 3:38 PM

Athletics activated OF Coco Crisp from the 15-day disabled list.

Crisp needed just two rehab games to show the A's he was ready, beating his original timetable to return from elbow surgery by a couple weeks. He could be eased back into the lineup but will eventually settle in as the regular left fielder. Craig Gentry has been sent down in a corresponding move.
