Hanley Ramirez - 1B - Red Sox

Adam Katz, the agent for Hanley Ramirez, said Friday that his client has no knowledge of any of the allegations made against him and he's not aware of any investigation.

Michelle McPhee of ABC News had reported that a man was stopped by police carrying a large amount of drugs, specifically fentanyl and crack cocaine, and he claimed that one of the items his car during the stop belonged to Hanley Ramirez. The Red Sox maintain that their decision to designate Ramirez for assignment in late May was purely for baseball reasons, and given that this arrest happened in early June, that seems to still jive.

Eduardo Escobar - 3B - Twins

Eduardo Escobar (elbow) entered Friday's game as a pinch hitter and stayed on to play the field in the ninth inning.

Escobar was held out of the starting lineup on Friday due to a minor elbow contusion, but since he was able to bat and play the field in the contest, he should be good to go for Saturday. The 29-year-old having a fantastic season, slashing .298/.350/.573 with 12 homers, 48 RBI and an American League-leading 32 doubles.

Trey Mancini - OF - Orioles

Trey Mancini (neck) struck out as a pinch hitter in Friday's 15-inning victory over the Braves.

Mancini was held out of the starting lineup on Thursday and Friday due to stiffness in his neck, but it's a good sign that he was available off of the bench. Expect him to return to the starting lineup at some point over the weekend.

Lorenzo Cain - OF - Brewers

Lorenzo Cain (hamstring) went 0-for-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch in his return to the Brewers' starting lineup on Friday.

Cain was removed from Thursday's game due to a hamstring cramp, but it appears to have been only a minor issue. The 32-year-old outfielder is enjoying a terrific season in his return to Milwaukee, slashing .292/.394/.439 with eight homers, 26 RBI and 16 stolen bases.

Gorkys Hernandez - OF - Giants

Gorkys Hernandez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Friday's 6-2 setback against the Padres.

Hernandez has come alive lately, going 6-for-14 with three doubles, a home run and five RBI across his past four outings to bump his average back up from .275 to .286. His production in the eight spot recently paid off, as he was batting leadoff in this one. Manager Bruce Bochy will likely continue to lean on him more as long as the outfielder stays hot.

Chris Stratton - S - Giants

Chris Stratton allowed three runs - two earned - and nine hits with no walks and three strikeouts over six innings in a loss Friday against San Diego.

Stratton threw 68 of his 98 pitches for strikes in the quality start, and he was let down by his defense when battery mate Nick Hundley uncorked an errant throw. Despite the loss he was able to log another quality start. He'll look to get back into the win column Thursday against Jon Gray and the visiting Rockies. He beat the Rockies on May 19 in his first appearance against the divisional rivals.

Manuel Margot - OF - Padres

Manuel Margot went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's 6-2 victory in San Francisco.

That's three consecutive multi-hit games for Margot, who has improved his average from .217 to .245 just since June 11. He is hitting .357 (20-for-56) with six doubles since flipping the calendar from May to June. After a rough start to the season it's nice to see Manuel raking again and helping his fantasy owners.

Clayton Richard - S - Padres

Clayton Richard allowed two earned runs, three hits and no walks with four strikeouts over six innings in a win Friday at San Francisco.

Richard threw 51 of his 79 pitches for strikes, although he managed just nine first-pitch strikes against the 21 batters he faced. While he got behind in counts, he certainly wiggled his way out of trouble time and again, outdueling the previously red-hot Chris Stratton. Richard will look to continue the solid run Wednesday in Texas opposite Mike Minor.
