Yasiel Puig exited Friday's game in the sixth inning with an apparent leg injury.

Puig got hit on the left knee in the first and was down for a couple of minutes before staying in. Still, that might not have been the reason for his absence; he seemed to have a different issue with his leg while running to first base in the sixth. Perhaps his hamstring was acting up again. Either way, he'd seem to be day-to-day.

Yasiel Puig was removed from Friday's game against the Padres with an apparent leg injury.

Puig pulled up with what seemed to be some sort of leg injury while running to first base in the sixth inning. He then limped to the dugout and immediately headed to the clubouse. He was also hit by a pitch in his knee earlier in the ballgame and has battled a hamstring issue in recent days. The team should have an update on his status after Friday's game.

Chris Davis hit a solo home run in the eighth inning of Friday's loss to the Red Sox.

Davis' solo homer off of Junichi Tazawa in the eighth inning drew the Orioles to within 7-5, but they were unable to muster another run off the Red Sox bullpen. The home run was his third of the season, the RBI his eighth. He would finish 1-for-3 with two runs scored, plus a walk and a strikeout. Davis has now struck out 27 times in 16 games. He'll crank a fair number of home runs, but given his propensity to whiff, his average figures to remain in the low-.200's.

Nick Swisher (knees) went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in his first rehab game with Triple-A Columbus on Friday.

Swisher will play another on Saturday before the Indians determine when he'll be able to return to the active roster. He's expected to serve as the Indians everyday right fielder upon his return.

Jimmy Paredes hit a two-run home run in Friday's loss to the Red Sox.

Paredes finished the game 1-for-5. The fourth inning home run was his second of the season and gave him four RBI on the year. Paredes was activated off the DL on April 18 and has notched eight hits in 25 at-bats. He makes for a nice value play in daily fantasy leagues.

Danny Duffy delivered a strong outing in Friday's no-decision against the White Sox, allowing just an unearned run on six hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Duffy punched out three and walked one in the contest. The only damage against him came on an RBI ground out by Tyler Flowers in the fourth inning, scoring Alexei Ramirez who had reached on an error. Duffy will bring a 4.15 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 16/7 K/BB ratio into Wednesday's outing against the Indians in Cleveland.

Jose Quintana pitched well in a no-decision against the Royals on Friday, surrendering two runs on seven hits over seven strong innings.

Quintana racked up five strikeouts on the evening while issuing just one free pass. It was the best start of the young season for the right-hander who still owns a troublesome 6.55 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over 22 innings. He'll look to carry over this strong start when he squares off against the Orioles in Baltimore on Wednesday.
Apr 25 - 12:08 AM

Friday's contest between the White Sox and Royals was suspended in a 2-2 tie after eight innings.

They'll pick things up in the ninth inning at 1:05 on Saturday before Saturday's regularly scheduled game.
