David Nelson caught three passes for 15 yards in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Bears.

Nelson was targeted seven times, but had a rough night with two fumbles, though they were both recovered by the Jets. He belongs on the waiver wire.
Sep 23 - 12:32 AM

Brandon Marshall caught 1-of-6 targets for six yards in the Bears' Week 3 win over the Jets.

Marshall entered the night questionable due to his ankle injury. And in the second quarter, he re-tweaked the ankle while blocking. Marshall missed about seven minutes of game action but returned to play the entire second half. He clearly wasn't 100 percent, and the offense went through Alshon Jeffery. Marshall will need to be watched again on a short week prior to next Sunday's showdown with the Packers at home. He'll likely be questionable once again.
Sep 23 - 12:30 AM

Greg Salas caught two passes for 56 yards in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Bears.

Salas saw extra playing time with Eric Decker hobbled by his hamstring. The slot receiver-type can be ignored and is well off the fantasy radar.
Sep 23 - 12:27 AM

Santonio Holmes caught two passes for nine yards in the Bears' Week 3 win over the Jets.

It was Holmes' return to New York. He saw just three targets on the night as the fifth option in the passing game. Holmes added one punt return for 11 yards. He won't have any fantasy value unless one of Alshon Jeffery or Brandon Marshall gets injured. Even then, at age 30, there won't be a ton of upside.
Sep 23 - 12:25 AM

Jeremy Kerley caught seven passes for 81 yards and one touchdown in the Jets' Week 3 loss to Chicago.

With Eric Decker clearly not 100 percent and eventually forced from the game in the second quarter, Kerley saw a team-high 11 targets. On his second-quarter 19-yard touchdown, Kerley beat slot CB Isaiah Frey and was wide open in the end zone. He and Geno Smith hooked up three times on the drive. Kerley is an underrated slot receiver with sticky mitts. He should be owned in deeper PPR leagues. Kerley gets to go against a weak Lions secondary in Week 4.
Sep 23 - 12:20 AM

Martellus Bennett caught five passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' Week 3 win over the Jets.

Bennett was targeted eight times on the night, and now has four touchdowns through three games. We've seen this before from him. He's dominated at the beginning of the season in the red zone the past three years before tailing off the final 2-3 months. But right now, Bennett is seeing plenty of targets to keep him in the TE1 picture. He'll remain there next week against the Packers at home.
Sep 23 - 12:17 AM

Chris Johnson rushed for 34 yards on ten carries in Monday night's Week 3 loss to the Bears.

He was targeted just twice in the passing game, but didn't reel either pass in, while one was picked off and returned for a touchdown. Johnson was outplayed big time by Chris Ivory in this one, and has been through the first three games of the season. Ivory's touches should continue to rise, and it could come at Johnson's expense. He's not a recommended Week 4 play vs. Detroit.
Sep 23 - 12:14 AM

Alshon Jeffery caught eight passes for 105 yards in the Bears' Week 3 win over the Jets.

With Brandon Marshall (ankle) clearly not 100 percent, Jeffery saw a team-high 13 targets. His big catch was a 42-yard gain down the left sideline in Antonio Allen's coverage. Jeffery also drew a 33-yard DPI penalty against Darrin Walls. Both plays led to scores for the Bears. Jeffery could have caught a touchdown, but Jay Cutler overshot him on a 2nd-and-3 pass in the end zone. Jeffery looked like his hamstring wasn't a problem. He'll be a WR1/2 next week vs. Green Bay.
