Jaguars OC Greg Olson said Kelvin Beachum (knee) is expected to start at left tackle Sunday against the Bengals.

Beachum has been sidelined for most of camp as he attempts to come back from an October ACL tear, but he is finally ready for action. With Beachum taking over at left tackle, Luke Joeckel is expected to get the nod at left guard.

Colin Kaepernick said he believes he can still win the starting job.

"Yeah, most definitely," Kaepernick said. "I’m going to go out and show everything I can these next two games and make sure I put my best foot forward to show this organization, this team, this coaching staff what I’m capable of." Kap's injury issues have given Blaine Gabbert a big head start, but he has not taken advantage of the opportunity through two preseason games. If Kaepernick shows well Friday, he could make things interesting. Kap has not played in an NFL game since November 8.

The (currently) Oakland Raiders filed a trademark application for "Las Vegas Raiders."

The move does not mean the team is definitely going to Las Vegas, but it is another strong indication there is more than smoke surrounding the proposed move to Sin City. Owner Mark Davis has said the team will move to Las Vegas if the city "comes through" on a new stadium deal, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has already publically supported the move, suggesting there is backing inside the league as well.

Bears NT Eddie Goldman said he feels "faster" this season.

Goldman lost some weight this offseason, and he thinks it has translated to the field. "I didn’t play a full game yet so I can’t really judge myself," Goldman said. "But I can tell you that feel faster, quicker." After a strong rookie season, the Bears will hope Goldman can once again be a force inside.

ESPN's Jamison Hensley suggested the Ravens could employ a four-back committee to start the season.

With nobody playing well enough to separate from the group, Hensley thinks the Ravens could open the season with Justin Forsett as the starter, Buck Allen and rookie Kenneth Dixon as third-down backs, and Terrance West as the short-yardage option. That kind of split seems unlikely, but it is a reminder of how fluid the situation is in Baltimore's backfield. For now, Forsett is still the best fantasy option, but the best play could be to just stay away.

Jaguars rookie LB Myles Jack will get first-team reps Sunday against the Bengals.

Paul Posluszny is still the starter at middle linebacker, but Jack will get some work with the first-team defense with the veteran expected to play limited snaps. "That experience will be valuable and cool," Jack said. "Even though it’s a preseason game, it will be like the Super Bowl to me." Jack does not look likely to jump Poz this season, but he is the future in the middle.

Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) is expected to start Sunday against Chargers.

Bridgewater caused a stir by sitting out the second preseason game and a few practices with a shoulder injury, but the issue was never serious. He returned to practice on Tuesday, and said he feels "very good." He will be fully healthy before Week 1.

Jets coach Todd Bowles said Matt Forte (hamstring) will make his debut Saturday against the Giants.

Bowles said over the weekend he hoped to get Forte "a few snaps" against the Giants, and it looks like that is still the plan. "I hope so, if he doesn’t have any setbacks," Bowles said. "I want him to get hit before our first game. I don’t want that to be the first time." Forte missed a large chunk of training camp with a hamstring injury, but he has reportedly looked sharp since returning.
