Mets transferred LHP Tommy Milone from the 10-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Chase Bradford. Milone now isn't eligible to return from his knee sprain until late July.

Nationals optioned RHP A.J. Cole to Triple-A Syracuse.

They haven't announced a corresponding move. Cole's recent stint with the big club lasted nearly a week, but he didn't make an appearance.

Mets signed RHP Mitch Atkins to a minor league contract.

Akins, 31, had been pitching for the independent league Somerset Patriots. The righty hasn't pitched in the majors since 2011 and is merely organizational depth.

Joc Pederson went 2-for-2 with a go-ahead solo home run in Thursday's win over the Mets.

Pederson came on as a pinch-hitter to lead off the seventh inning and made immediate impact. And we mean immediate. Pederson jumped on Paul Sewald's first pitch of the frame for a monster solo shot, blasting it an estimated 433 feet to center to snap a 3-3 tie. The homer was Pederson's fifth of the season and boosted his RBI total to 17. While the outfielder is still hitting just .226/.355/.401 overall, he has shown signs of consistency of late, having picked up hits in eight of his last nine games. He has six extra-base hits in that space.

Kenley Jansen recorded save No. 16 on the season with 1 1/3 scoreless innings in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Mets.

Jansen came on with two runners on and two out in the eighth inning. The Dodgers led 6-3 at that time. A Cody Bellinger error on a Jose Reyes grounder would then load the bases to raise the stakes that much more, but Jansen was able to escape that jam when he induced a first-pitch pop up from a pinch-hitting Michael Conforto to end the frame. He turned in a 1-2-3 ninth to finish the game. The ace closer is pitching to a brilliant 0.87 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 50/0 K/BB ratio across 31 innings. He is a perfect 16-for-16 in save chances this season.

Curtis Granderson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.

Granderson led off the game with a solo home run off Hyun-Jin Ryu. The homer was his ninth of the season. Overall, the veteran outfielder is hitting .225/.315/.437 in 69 games played. He has gone yard in back-to-back contests.
Jun 23 - 1:49 AM

Travis d'Arnaud went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.

D'Arnaud cranked a solo homer off Hyun-Jin Ryu in the fourth inning. He is now working on a little five-game hitting streak. Despite showing a nice bit of pop in the bat this season -- eight homers in 129 at-bats -- d'Arnaud is hitting just .226 overall.
Jun 23 - 1:48 AM

Hyun-Jin Ryu surrendered two runs on five hits over five innings while taking a no-decision in Thursday's win over the Mets.

Ryu struck out three and walked two on the evening. Both runs on his line scored via solo homers, with Curtis Granderson burning Ryu in the first inning and Travis d'Arnaud doing likewise in the fourth. He will carry a 4.30 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 61/21 K/BB ratio (67 innings) into a home start against the Angels next time he toes the rubber.
