NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Colin Kaepernick will void his contract after the season to become a free agent.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Jordan Matthews (ankle, questionable) is expected to miss Sunday's Week 13 game against the Bengals.
It would be the first game he's missed in his three-year career. Matthews is still feeling the effects of a sprained right ankle he suffered in Monday night's loss to Green Bay. He tried to practice on Thursday but never felt right. Beat writer Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advanced Media called him a "true 50/50 game-time decision" for Week 13, but it looks like the decision has already been made. Nelson Agholor will return to the lineup this week in place of Matthews. He was benched for Week 12.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Marvin Jones is "a long-shot to play" Week 13 against the Saints.
According to the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett, Jones "moved cautiously while taking sporadic reps" at Friday's practice, so this report is anything but a surprise. With Jones likely to sit, Golden Tate, Anquan Boldin, and Eric Ebron should take on bigger roles in the passing game.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Mark Ingram (toe) is expected to play Week 13 against the Lions.
Ingram was non-committal about his availability on Friday, but he did say the toe "felt good" during Friday's practice. Still, he could be forced into a more limited role because of the injury. Even in a good matchup, Ingram is a risky RB2 play. Tim Hightower deserves a look in the FLEX.
Latavius Murray (ankle, questionable) will play in Sunday's Week 13 game against the Bills.
As expected. Murray was listed as questionable after putting in a limited week of practice, but his status for Sunday was never in jeopardy. Despite eclipsing 60 yards rushing only once this season, Murray has settled in as a weekly RB2 on the strength of a high touchdown rate and solid receiving numbers.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports DeVante Parker (questionable, back) isn't expected to play in Week 13 against the Ravens.
Coach Adam Gase said he would "err on the side of caution" with Parker this week. Parker got in some side-work Friday and looks like he'll only miss one game. Jarvis Landry should see more targets with Parker out, with Kenny Stills and rookie Leonte Carroo playing bigger roles on the outside.
Michael Crabtree (ankle, questionable) will play in Sunday's Week 13 game against the Bills.
So will Latavius Murray (ankle, questionable). Crabtree hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 7 but recorded a season-high 110 yards in last week's win over Carolina. He'll be in the WR2 mix this week.
Redskins WR Josh Doctson (Achilles, IR) isn't expected to return this season.
Doctson is eligible to return in Week 16. The Redskins haven’t officially ruled him out, but he still hasn't been cleared to run. CSN's JP Finlay says it's "hard to imagine" a scenario where Doctson plays again in 2016.
