Shin-Soo Choo led off the game with a solo home run that produced his club's only run of the contest in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

He provided a spark at the top of the lineup but his teammates didn't do anything to help him out. The homer was Choo's only hit of the game. He is batting .255/.364/.396 with five longballs and 21 RBI in 177 plate appearances.

Yu Darvish allowed three runs in six innings and took a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

One big blow cost him the game. A three-run home run by Jose Bautista in the fifth inning accounted for the Blue Jays' entire scoring output in the contest and that was more than enough to seal the victory. Darvish surrendered five base hits and three walks while fanning four. His record falls to 5-3 with a 2.97 ERA through 11 starts. He has 72 strikeouts and 30 walks in 69 2/3 innings.

Gary Sanchez drew a pair of walks and scored twice as the Yankees topped the Athletics on Saturday afternoon in New York.

Sanchez walked in the first inning and scored the game's first run on a sacrifice fly by Starlin Castro. He then walked and rode home on Matt Holliday's two-run blast in the sixth inning. Sanchez finished the day 0-for-2 and is now hitting .256/.358/.415 with four homers and 11 RBI on the year.

Matt Holliday blasted a two-run homer on Saturday, powering the Yankees to a 3-2 victory over the Athletics.

Holliday's two-run shot off of A's starter Jharel Coton broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning. He finished the day 1-for-3 and is now hitting .269/.365/.503 with nine long balls and 30 RBI on the season.
