Chris Ivory rushed six times for 50 yards in Friday's preseason game, adding a 23-yard reception.

Ivory came off the bench behind Chris Johnson, but got plenty of run with the first-team offense, getting five touches to Johnson's eight while Geno Smith was in the game. Ivory was quick and angry through the hole, and was a load in the open field. He's rushed 13 times for 67 yards (5.12 YPC) through three preseason games. CJ2K will chair the Jets' committee, but Ivory should get plenty of goal-line looks. He's an RB3/FLEX.

Randall Cobb was held without a catch on three targets in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders.

Cobb played every snap for just about the entire first half, yet flat-out dropped two of his targets. Through three preseason games, he has just three catches for 34 yards with one touchdown. Cobb hasn't had a great camp and has been up-and-down in games, but he's still a volume slot receiver for Aaron Rodgers. We're confident he'll have 80+ catches when the dust settles.

Greg Olsen caught 2-of-4 targets for 21 yards in the Panthers' third preseason game Friday night.

It could have been a much bigger night. Olsen was wide open with room to run down the seam early in the first quarter, but the pass from Cam Newton was behind him. Olsen has four catches for 43 yards this preseason. He is currently being drafted in the 8th round.
Aug 22 - 10:33 PM

Jordy Nelson caught two passes for 19 yards with a touchdown in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders.

This was Nelson's preseason debut. He showed off his raw strength, overpowering rookie CB T.J. Carrie to snatch a stop route and walking into the end zone for a 12-yard score. He also added a 2-point conversion. As the wildly talented clear-cut No. 1 receiver for Aaron Rodgers, Nelson is a very solid second-round fantasy pick. He averaged 6.1 catches for 101.2 yards and scored seven touchdowns in the eight full games Rodgers played in last season.

Marshawn Lynch ran three times for 16 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's third preseason game Friday night.

This was Lynch's 2014 preseason debut. He looked as sharp as ever, scoring a seven-yard TD on a shotgun draw to cap Seattle's opening drive. That was the only action of the night for Lynch, who was replaced by Robert Turbin on the team's second possession. Lynch's workload should remain intact to open the season, particularly after Seattle gave him a pay raise. He's a fantasy RB1.
Aug 22 - 10:31 PM

Blake Bortles completed 10-of-16 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' third preseason game.

Bortles came in to operate the two-minute offense at the end of the first half and led the Jaguars to a field goal. He played with the starters for the first time this preseason and didn't disappoint. Bortles showed good anticipation on his throws and was able to lead his receivers into open spots. He's 28-of-44 for 435 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions through three preseason games. Chad Henne remains the favorite to start Week 1, but it's becoming clear Bortles gives Jacksonville their best chance to win.
Aug 22 - 10:29 PM

Chris Johnson rushed nine times for 42 yards in Friday's preseason game, adding two catches for an additional 35 yards.

Johnson got the "start" over Chris Ivory, but both players spent ample time with the first-team offense. CJ2K out-touched Ivory 8-5 while Geno Smith was in the game. Ivory looked good, but so did Johnson, even breaking a few tackles. That was something he rarely did in Tennessee last season. Johnson had big lanes to run through, and looked lightning quick in the open field. He has 23 carries for 107 yards (4.65 YPC) and a touchdown through three preseason games. He's added six catches for 52 yards. Johnson will be best utilized as a FLEX play in fantasy leagues.
Aug 22 - 10:29 PM

Matt Schaub completed 13-of-27 passes for 110 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Friday's preseason game at Green Bay.

Schaub was nothing short of brutal, especially when facing the Packers' first-string defense in the first half (61 yards on 22 attempts). His arm strength is shot, he's immobile in the pocket and his starting receivers can't make anything happen after the catch. Through three preseason games, Schaub is 24-of-47 for 218 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. The Raiders are going to have one of the league's worse passing "attacks" this season.
