Tim Beckham left Saturday's game against the Orioles with a right hamstring cramp.

Beckham pulled up lame on a groundout in the fifth inning. Nick Franklin pinch-hit for him in his next at-bat. The former No. 1 overall pick is day-to-day.

Saturday's game between the Cubs and the Royals has been postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up on September 28. Yordano Ventura and Tsuyoshi Wada will have their starts pushed back to Sunday.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Yasiel Puig (hamstring) could begin a rehab assignment late next week.

He's been running at the team's spring training facility in Arizona. Puig was close to returning earlier this month but suffered a setback during a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. He hasn't played with the Dodgers since April 24.

Athletics recalled RHP Angel Castro from Triple-A Nashville.

The 32-year-old went 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in a four-game stint with the A's earlier this season. He's done a nice job at Nashville, limiting opponents to a .203 batting average in 20 innings. A roster spot opened up for Castro when Oakland placed Sean Doolittle (shoulder) back on the disabled list.

Athletics placed LHP Sean Doolittle (shoulder) on the 15-day disabled list.

You could see the writing on the wall after Doolittle missed fielding practice on Saturday. His velocity was way down Wednesday and it's clear he's still battling a nagging shoulder injury. Oakland recalled RHP Angel Castro from Triple-A Nashville in the corresponding roster move.

Brian Dozier delivered a go-ahead RBI triple in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

With the score tied in the bottom of the seventh, Dozier drove a ball to the right-center field gap and Ezequiel Carrera came up empty-handed while attempting a diving catch, which allowed Aaron Hicks to score the go-ahead. Dozier finished the day 1-for-4 and is batting .247/.325/.500 with nine home runs, 25 RBI, and three stolen bases over 47 games this season. He's not stealing as many bases as fantasy owners expected, but the added power is making up for it.

Blaine Boyer tossed a perfect ninth inning Saturday against the Blue Jays for his first save of the season.

Boyer was filling in for Glen Perkins, who had thrown in three out of the last four days and took the loss in a rare shaky outing on Friday. This was just the third save of Boyer's career. The 33-year-old has a 2.19 ERA and 10/6 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 innings this season. The Twins are 19-7 this month, tops in the American League.

Kyle Gibson was handed a no-decision Saturday after allowing two runs (one earned) over 5 2/3 innings against the Blue Jays.

The first run scored on a solo homer by Kevin Pillar in the fourth inning, but the Blue Jays tied the game in the sixth inning thanks to a throwing error by catcher Chris Herrmann. Gibson gave up eight hits and four walks, so the Blue Jays had plenty of chances, but he managed to minimize the damage by inducing three double plays. The 27-year-old owns a 2.61 ERA through 10 starts this season, but with the lack of strikeouts, we're skeptical about his ability to maintain it.
