Cody Latimer (knee) will undergo an MRI on Sunday.

The results should give us a clearer idea of when we might see Latimer back on a football field. The third-year wideout injured himself on a block in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams. Latimer downplayed the injury after the game, though beat writer Troy Renck of the Denver Post said he saw him walking with a noticeable limp. Latimer's Week 1 status is now in flux.

Mark Sanchez didn't play in Saturday's preseason game.

The fact that Sanchez was glued to a clipboard for Denver's regular season dress rehearsal tells you all you need to know about his "competition" with Trevor Siemian, but it doesn't necessarily mean he will be cut. Sanchez is a known commodity to anyone who has watched NFL football since 2009. The Broncos needed to see as much of Siemian and Paxton Lynch as possible. Sanchez's release remains a distinct possibility, of course. Cutting him would save $4.5 million, and get the Broncos their seventh-round pick back.

Paxton Lynch completed 6-of-13 passes for 57 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday’s preseason game.

He recorded one yard on four rushing attempts, though two were kneel-downs. It was a tepid effort for Lynch, who missed an opportunity to put distance between himself and Mark Sanchez, who is on the bubble. Lynch got off to a nice start by completing his first four passes but limped to the finish with seven misses over his last nine throws. To be fair, Lynch was playing with backups and the Broncos used a run-heavy approach featuring Devontae Booker and Ronnie Hillman. Lynch's longest completion came on a 17-yard screen to Booker. Lynch has shown flashes during preseason play but Trevor Siemian remains the odds-on favorite to start Week 1 against Carolina.

Rams WR Pharoh Cooper caught one pass for 19 yards in Saturday's third preseason game.

Cooper's lone target came with the second-team offense. The fourth-round rookie has been working as the Rams' No. 3 receiver for most of the summer, but saw fewer looks than Brian Quick this evening. Regardless of whether he's No. 3 or 4, Cooper isn't on the re-draft radar.

Ronnie Hillman rushed five times for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos' third preseason game.

Long an inconsistent back, Hillman flashed his trademark foot quickness and burst on a handful of nice runs as Hillman continues to fight for his roster life. He worked behind C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker for the second straight game. In order to keep his job, Hillman may still need the Broncos to keep four backs. No. 4 runner Kapri Bibbs has more special teams value.

Brian Quick caught 3-of-3 targets for 15 yards in Saturday's third preseason game.

Quick spent some time with the first-team offense. Quick has had a horrendous preseason, catching only six passes for 55 yards and getting called out by coach Jeff Fisher for drops, but doesn't appear to be on the roster bubble. He is behind rookie Pharoh Cooper. Quick hasn't been the same since his severe 2014 shoulder injury.

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio insisted Latavius Murray's reduced playing time in the third preseason game was not indicative of Murray's starting job coming into question.

Murray took a backseat as rookies DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard ran with the Derek Carr group. Del Rio insists Murray is not falling into a committee, saying "we saw (Latavius) last year. We need to find out who will be the backup." Both rookies shined, with Washington totaling 53 yards and a touchdown on 11 touches and Richard parlaying nine touches into 42 yards. Washington is a recommended handcuff for Murray in all leagues.

Rams RB Benny Cunningham rushed six times for 22 yards in Los Angeles' third preseason game.

Todd Gurley sat this one out, so Cunningham ran with the first-team offense. When Gurley is playing, Cunningham is the Rams' pass-protection specialist and plays on special teams. Cunningham is locked in as the team's No. 2 back.
