Ravens OT Austin Howard could be an offseason cap casualty.

Howard hasn't lived up to his contract after signing a three-year deal last offseason. The Ravens can save $4 million from making him a post-June cut with only $1 million in dead money. Despite a middling year, Howard won't struggle for interest if he's released.

Ravens OG Matt Skura is a candidate to start at center in 2018.

A 2016 UDFA, Skura made 12 starts in place of Marshal Yanda last season. He was exclusively a center at Duke and could be an in-house option if Ryan Jensen leaves in free agency. Skura had negative PFF grades in his first year as a starter, but may benefit from returning to his college position.

The Texans plan to move Romeo Crennel back to defensive coordinator.

Crennel spent last season as an assistant head coach after Mike Vrabel was promoted to defensive coordinator. With Vrabel gone, he'll resume playcalling duties for the Texans. Crennel is one of the best schemers in the league, so there won't be any dropoff. Houston had the top-ranked defense under Crennel in 2016.

Titans TE Jonnu Smith (knee) is expected to be ready for offseason workouts.

Smith suffered a torn MCL in the Divisional Round but it won't impact his status for OTAs. A third-round pick, Smith made 13 starts as a rookie and flashed playmaking upside despite a limited pass-game role. With a new coaching staff and Delanie Walker due $7 million in the final year of his deal, it's possible Tennessee moves forward with Smith as their No. 1 tight end.

The Falcons plan to extend Matt Bryant this offseason.

Bryant took a step back from 2016 but was still one of the better kickers in the league last year, converting 34-of-39 field goals and making every extra point. The Falcons should bring him back despite Bryant entering his age-43 season. Bryant has been with Atlanta since 2009.

Titans hired Mike Vrabel as head coach.

A Pro Bowl linebacker as recently as 2007, Vrabel climbed the coaching ranks quickly, pitstopping for three years at Ohio State before spending 2014-2016 as the Texans' linebackers coach, then succeeding Romeo Crennel as Texans defensive coordinator in 2017. Albeit in large part due to unfortunate injuries, Vrabel's 2017 Texans defense was a bottom-ten unit, particularly struggling against the pass. Arguably more important than Vrabel's hire will be whomever he chooses to run Tennessee's offense. The development of 24-year-old Marcus Mariota will have the biggest impact on the direction of the Titans' organization.

ESPN's John Keim reports the Redskins may not be willing to meet free agent ILB Zach Brown's asking price.

The Redskins want to keep Brown but there's a "decent gap" in contract talks between the sides. After settling for a prove-it deal, Brown is looking to cash in coming off another strong season. Brown could push for $7 million annually.

The Cardinals could give Eagles DC Jim Schwartz a second interview next week.

The Cardinals gave Panthers DC Steve Wilks a second interview and may look to do the same with Schwartz. After drawing interest from multiple teams, Schwartz has faded over the last few weeks but remains one of the top retreads available this cycle. Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo, Patriots LB coach Brian Flores, Cardinals DC James Bettcher, and Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong are among the finalists for Arizona's head-coaching job.
