Torrey Smith caught 5-of-7 targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' NFC title win over the Vikings.

On the Eagles’ first drive, Smith dropped one of Nick Foles’ best passes of the season on a bomb attempt that would have gained 50-plus yards. Smith atoned by blowing the game wide open on a third-quarter flea-flicker touchdown from 41 yards out. Entering the NFC Championship, Smith had been held below 40 yards in 12 of his previous 13 games. The Eagles may need another big play from Smith in order to knock off the Patriots in Super Bowl 52.

Nelson Agholor caught 3-of-4 targets for 59 yards in the Eagles' NFC title game win over the Vikings.

Agholor was quiet beyond a 42-yard gain in the second half, and has now been held below 60 yards in five straight games while Alshon Jeffery has shown an improved rapport with Nick Foles. Nevertheless, Agholor's role should grow in the Super Bowl against the Patriots, who have struggled mightily against interior receivers all season. Agholor runs over 80 percent of his snaps in the slot.

LeGarrette Blount rushed six times for 21 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' NFC title game win over the Vikings.

Blount put the Eagles up 14-7 on a power run behind RG Brandon Brooks, carrying Vikings FS Andrew Sendejo over the goal line for an 11-yard touchdown. Blount now has ten career postseason rushing TDs, most of any active NFL player. Blount's scoring-position role is secure, but he remains a situational player in Philly's offense, getting out-touched by Jay Ajayi 21 to 6 on Sunday.
Jan 21 - 9:50 PM

Jay Ajayi rushed 18 times for 73 yards and caught 3-of-3 targets for 26 yards in the Eagles' NFC Championship win over the Vikings.

Ajayi's 18 touches in last week's Divisional Round were his most as an Eagle to that point. He topped that mark with 21 in Sunday's victory, significantly out-touching LeGarrette Blount (6) and Corey Clement (3). Although he continues to lose scoring-position work to Blount, Ajayi should remain the focal point of Philly's offense in the Super Bowl against a Patriots defense that was damaged by all-purpose backs throughout the regular season.

Alshon Jeffery caught 5-of-5 targets for 85 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' NFC title game win over the Vikings.

With Xavier Rhodes temporarily sidelined by a toe injury, Jeffery whipped 39-year-old CB Terence Newman for a 53-yard touchdown bomb late in the second quarter, giving the Eagles a 21-7 lead. Jeffery scored again early in the fourth, skying over Trae Waynes when Minnesota’s zone coverage forced Rhodes away from Alshon. In a picture-perfect game by Nick Foles, Jeffery was his most-perfect target recipient. Expect Jeffery to draw primary coverage from Stephon Gilmore in the Super Bowl.

Nick Foles completed 26-of-33 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles' shocking, 38-7 blowout win over the Vikings in Sunday's NFC Championship game.

Foles went just 2-of-15 on throws attempted 20-plus yards downfield this season. He completed four 20-plus-yard throws in Sunday’s game alone, beginning with a 53-yard touchdown to a wide-open Alshon Jeffery in the second quarter and capped by a 41-yard flea-flicker score to Torrey Smith in the third frame. Foles’ third TD went to Jeffery in the red zone early in the fourth. It was a stunning air-raid performance against the NFC’s premier pass defense. The Eagles will likely need something similar from Foles – in addition to defensive dominance – in order to upset the Patriots in the Super Bowl. New England is expected to open as a five- to six-point favorite.

Corey Grant caught 3-of-3 targets for 59 yards in the Jaguars' AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots.

Active over early-down plodder Chris Ivory, Grant added a two-yard rush. Just as he did during the regular campaign, Grant showed some serious juice as a change-of-pace option. Although he was buoyed by a 56-yard touchdown, Grant averaged 8.3 yards on his 30 regular season totes. The former UDFA is headed to restricted free agency. He turned 26 in December.

Marcedes Lewis caught 1-of-3 targets for a four-yard touchdown in the Jaguars' AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots.

Lewis appeared to be blatantly interfered with on each of his other two targets, but the refs swallowed their whistles. A catch-and-fall specialist who happened to fall five times in the end zone this season, Lewis is signed for $3.5 million in 2018. Although he's an excellent blocker, that could be too rich for the Jaguars.
