Marcedes Lewis caught two passes for 42 yards and a touchdown in Jacksonville's Week 14 win over the Texans.
Mike Brown caught three passes for 16 yards in Jacksonville's Week 14 win over the Texans.
Brown's biggest contribution came on Jacksonville's opening drive, where he muffed what should have been an easy 16-yard touchdown. Brown ran as the Jaguars' No. 3 receiver behind Cecil Shorts and Ace Sanders. He's not on the WR5 radar for the fantasy playoffs.
Cecil Shorts caught just two passes for 13 yards in Jacksonville's Week 14 win over the Texans, but managed to find the end zone.
Shorts was inches away from a much bigger night, as he drew a 33-yard pass-interference penalty, and was overthrown on what would have been a wide-open 59-yard touchdown. He also drew a defensive-holding call. As it is, Shorts finished with only six targets after combining for 23 in Weeks 12-13. Shorts will be a WR2 against the Bills' burnable secondary in Week 15.
DeAndre Hopkins caught three passes for 76 yards in Houston's Week 14 loss to the Jaguars.
Hopkins' longest grab went for 46 yards in the third quarter, where he flashed some serious speed across the middle of the field. Hopkins also made a spectacular grab on a would-be touchdown three plays later, but couldn't get both feet in bounds. With the Texans dialing up 58 pass attempts, Hopkins drew seven targets, his most since Week 9. Hopkins continues to show off his play-making ability in spurts, but is just a mid-range WR4 for the fantasy playoffs.
Jordan Todman rushed seven times for 14 yards in Jacksonville's Week 14 win over the Texans, adding one catch for a 21-yard touchdown.
Todman came on for an injured Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) midway through the fourth quarter, but promptly came down with a cramp, missing a series before returning. Four of Todman's seven carries came in clock-killing mode. His touchdown was a trick play where he caught a pass from WR Ace Sanders. With Justin Forsett (broken foot) still sidelined, Todman would likely get the start in Week 15 against the Bills if MJD can't go. He'd be little more than a low-end FLEX play.
Ace Sanders caught three passes for 26 yards in Jacksonville's Week 14 win over the Texans, adding a 21-yard passing touchdown on a trick play.
Sanders also lined up in the backfield on a few snaps, rushing once for no gain. Sanders' touchdown probably should have been picked by Texans S D.J. Swearinger, but Jordan Todman managed to come down with a contested pass that Sanders threw across the entire field. Sanders has started flashing his play-making ability with greater regularity in recent weeks, but the Jags still don't seem entirely certain how to get him the ball. He drew only six targets this evening. He'll be a WR4/5 for PPR purposes in Week 15.
Garrett Graham caught eight passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in Houston's Week 14 loss to the Jaguars.
Graham had little trouble finding seams against a Jaguars defense that's struggled to cover tight ends all season. Graham drew a whopping 14 targets, and could have had 1-2 more catches had he not kept losing his footing. He also committed a drop. Graham doesn't get much separation, but has now caught at least five passes in three of his past four games. He'll remain a mid-range TE1 for the final two weeks of the fantasy playoffs.
Ben Tate rushed 14 times for 53 yards in Houston's Week 14 loss to the Jaguars, adding two catches for three yards.
Just five of Tate's touches came after halftime, as desperate play-caller Gary Kubiak went pass heavy with his team entering the break down 17-7. It was a highly questionable strategy with his quarterbacks struggling and Jacksonville being more susceptible to the run than pass. As for Tate's performance, he wasn't finding many holes, but was finishing his runs with power two weeks after the Jags bottled him up for one yard on seven carries. Tate is shaping up as an inconsistent RB2 for a team that simply has no idea what it's doing on offense. He gets Indy's No. 28 run defense in Week 15.
