Matt Garza struggled in a no-decision against the Phillies on Thursday, giving up four runs on 10 hits over his six frames.

Garza struck out three on the night while issuing one free pass. He left with his team maintaining a 7-4 advantage, but the Brewers bullpen was unable to hold on and provide his fifth victory. Mired in a high disappointing season, he'll carry a 5.55 ERA and 68/33 K/BB ratio into Tuesday's matchup against the Braves.

Cody Asche belted his fourth home run of the season in a losing effort against the Brewers on Thursday.

Now serving as the Phillies' primary left fielder, Asche had himself quite a night at the dish, going 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two RBI, and he also drew a walk. For the season, he's slashing .254/.289/.362 with four long balls and 11 RBI.

Chad Billingsley was hit hard in his return to the Phillies starting rotation on Thursday, allowing six runs on 10 hits over his five innings of work.

The veteran right-hander walked three and struck out one on the evening. The Brewers jumped on him early and often in this one, pushing three runs across in the first inning and never looking back. While Billingsley has been awful this season, as evidenced by his 7.71 ERA and 8/6 K/BB ratio in 21 innings, the Phillies don't have any better options so he'll get the ball again on Tuesday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
Jul 2 - 10:43 PM

Shawn Tolleson worked a perfect ninth inning against the Orioles on Thursday, protecting a two-run advantage to earn his 12th save of the season.

Tolleson continues to excel in his ninth inning role, converting each of his first 12 save chances while registering a 2.60 ERA and 35/7 K/BB ratio over 34 2/3 innings. There's no reason to believe at this point that he won't keep the closer's gig for the remainder of the season.
Jul 2 - 10:41 PM

Leonys Martin broke up a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the ninth inning on Thursday, leading the Rangers to a 2-0 victory over the Orioles.

Martin finished the night 1-for-3 and also drew a walk. He has been a major disappointment for the Rangers and fantasy owners alike this season, slashing a mere .225/.268/.328 with five homers, 24 RBI and 13 stolen bases.
Jul 2 - 10:28 PM

Yovani Gallardo extended his scoreless innings streak to 29 1/3 with another six shutout frames against the Orioles in a no-decision on Thursday.

The right-hander was once again superb, scattering just two hits and three walks on the evening while striking out two. He now boasts a tremendous 2.56 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 72/31 K/BB ratio over 102 innings on the season. He'll look to extend his dominance further when he does battle against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Jul 2 - 10:28 PM

David Lough was the lone bright spot on offense for the Orioles on Thursday, going 2-for-3 in a losing effort against the Rangers.

The Orioles were shut out by Yovani Gallardo and company on Thursday, with Lough tallying two of the team's three total hits. He has struggled for the most part in limited time with the O's, slashing just .216/.262/.351 on the season.
Jul 2 - 10:27 PM

Kevin Gausman dazzled in a spot start against the Rangers on Thursday, racking up seven strikeouts over 6 1/3 scoreless innings.

Gausman surrendered just four hits and two walks in the impressive outing. While he's supposed to be heading back to Triple-A Norfolk, it's hard to envision the Orioles keeping the struggling Bud Norris in the rotation much longer with Gausman ready to take over. His fantasy value the remainder of the season entirely hinges on him securing a spot in the starting rotation.
