Goody was called up by the Yankees earlier this month, but didn't make an appearance. The 24-year-old has posted a dominant 1.68 ERA with 70 strikeouts and 14 walks over 48 1/3 inning this season between Double- and Triple-A.
Yankees recalled RHP Bryan Mitchell from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
It's unclear whether he's being recalled to start or pitch out of the bullpen. Mitchell has made six appearances with the Yankees this season and owns a 3.12 ERA and 61/37 K/BB ratio over 75 innings in Triple-A.
Williams Perez (foot) will be activated from the disabled list to start Friday against the Phillies.
Perez, out since late June with a foot contusion, allowed one run with a 15/1 K/BB ratio over 11 2/3 innings during his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett. The 24-year-old had a 2.44 ERA over eight starts and three relief appearances prior to the injury and could make for a decent streaming option in deeper fantasy leagues.
Michael Pineda (forearm) hopes to resume throwing in 7-10 days.
Pineda felt discomfort after his last bullpen session and was placed on the disabled list Thursday. The expectation is that he could be out for around a month.
