Jerad Eickhoff held the Brewers to two runs over six innings Sunday for his second win of the year.

Eickhoff was sharp in this one, yielding just three hits and two walks while striking out six Milwaukee batters. For the season, the 27-year-old right-hander stands 2-7 with a 4.71 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and 87/37 K/BB ratio in 17 starts covering 93 2/3 innings.

Junior Guerra yielded five earned runs over four innings Sunday in a loss to the Phillies.

Guerra walked three batters and gave up five hits, including a two-run homer to Nick Williams in the bottom of the fourth inning. The 32-year-old right-hander is 1-4 on the year with an ugly 5.22 ERA and 1.53 WHIP. He had a 2.81 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 2016.

Luis Garcia earned his first save of the season Sunday in the Phillies' win over the Braves.

Garcia worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning on just nine total pitches, striking out one of the three batters he faced. The 30-year-old right-hander owns a shiny 2.25 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 40 innings this season and could get more save opportunities down the stretch as the Phillies finish out a disappointing 2017 campaign.

Clayton Kershaw was removed from Sunday's start against the Braves after two innings due to an apparent injury.

No word yet on exactly what's going on. With two outs in the second inning, the team trainer and manager Dave Roberts came out to check on the star southpaw, and after throwing a couple of warm-up pitches he remained in the game. He was pinch-hit for in the bottom half of the inning though and was seen going into the clubhouse with the trainer. We'll pass along any updates as soon as they become available.

Scooter Gennett launched his 17th home run of the season on Sunday afternoon against the Marlins.

It was a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning of Marlins starter Tom Koehler. Gennett also added an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth, finishing 2-for-4 with two runs batted in. The second baseman has a remarkable .314/.364/.595 batting line in 82 total games this season for Cincinnati.
Jul 23 - 4:33 PM

Billy Hamilton finished 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, an RBI, and a run scored Sunday in the Reds' 6-3 defeat of the Marlins.

Hamilton has pushed his stolen-base total to 43, by far the highest number in the major leagues. The 26-year-old speedster is on pace for a career-best 71 thefts.
Jul 23 - 4:31 PM

Sal Romano limited the Marlins to one run over six innings Sunday for his second major league victory.

It was easily his best start in the bigs. Romano yielded just three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters. The one run he surrendered came on an A.J. Ellis solo homer in the top of the fourth inning. The 23-year-old right-hander will bring a 2-2 record, 5.50 ERA, and 1.61 WHIP into his next scheduled start on the road versus this same Marlins team.

Dee Gordon stole his 35th base of the season Sunday in the Marlins' loss to the Reds.

Gordon also stole two bases on Saturday. He's batting just .290/.333/.347 in 94 games this season, but the speed numbers have been plenty useful for fantasy purposes.
