Adam Duvall swatted his 21st home run of the year on Wednesday afternoon against the Yankees.

Luis Severino allowed just two unearned runs over seven innings Wednesday in a win over the Reds.

Severino struck out nine batters and limited the Cincinnati offense to three hits and two walks. He was working on a shutout until an ugly top of the seventh that began with a Didi Gregorius fielding error. The young right-hander is now 7-4 on the season with an outstanding 3.03 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 145/32 K/BB ratio in 127 2/3 innings. He'll get the Tigers at home next Monday, on the night of the trade deadline.

Shawn Kelley (trapezius) will throw a simulated game on Wednesday.

Kelley has ramped up his rehab efforts of late, progressing from throwing off flat ground to a bullpen session earlier this week. He has been out of action since mid-June due to a strained right trapezius muscle. While his rehab is starting to move along at a faster pace, there is no current timetable for his return.

Homer Bailey served up seven runs -- five earned -- over six innings Wednesday in a loss to the Yankees.

Bailey issued only one walk, but he didn't register a single strikeout and the Yankees pounced on him for 10 hits. The 31-year-old right-hander fell to 2-5 with an 8.37 ERA and 2.01 WHIP in seven starts covering 33 1/3 innings.

Alex Bregman (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Bregman was lifted from action on Tuesday due to discomfort in his right hamstring. He is being listed as day-to-day. Yulieski Gurriel will play third in his place on Wednesday and is hitting fourth.

Rockies activated RHP Tyler Chatwood from the 10-day disabled list.

Chatwood will rejoin the Rockies as a reliever on Wednesday night in St. Louis after missing the last week-and-a-half with a right calf strain. The right-hander has a 4.74 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 106 1/3 innings this season -- all as a starting pitcher.
