Ravens DT Brandon Williams is sidelined with a foot injury.

Coach John Harbaugh said it's not a "long-term" injury, but the exact nature of it remains unknown. Williams is an elite run defender, and the Ravens have Leonard Fournette, Le'Veon Bell, and Marshawn Lynch next up on the schedule. DE Brent Urban and NT Michael Pierce will have to pick up the slack.

Saints CB Sterling Moore suffered a pectoral injury in the Week 2 loss to the Patriots.

The team is still trying to determine the severity of the injury. Moore is the Saints' No. 3 corner and was the team's highest-graded cover man by Pro Football Focus last season. They can ill afford to lose Moore.

Texans signed CB Johnthan Banks.

The former second-round bust appeared in nine games between the Bucs, Lions and Bears last season. He provides depth for a Texans secondary dealing with injuries to Johnathan Joseph and Kevin Johnson.

Dolphins acquired LB Stephone Anthony from the Saints in exchange for a 2018 fifth-round pick.

It's a flier for the linebacker-needy Dolphins and a dump for the Saints. The No. 31 overall pick of the 2015 draft, Anthony flopped badly in New Orleans. He struggled as a rookie and was benched as a sophomore. He's currently recovering from a high-ankle sprain. He'll be a warm body for the Dolphins once he gets back to full health.

Free agent WR Corey "Philly" Brown worked out for the Jets on Tuesday.

Brown was let go by the Bills at final cuts. The ex-Panther caught 79 passes over the past three years in Carolina. The 25 year old would offer zero upside for the Jets, but Gang Green doesn't have any depth at receiver.

Free agent TEs Gavin Escobar and Jace Amaro worked out for the Panthers on Tuesday.

Blocker Ed Dickson is filling in for injured starter Greg Olsen (broken foot), and the Panthers are looking for more of a pass-catching option to complement Dickson. A 2013 second-rounder, Escobar couldn't make the Chiefs this summer after playing out his rookie contract in Dallas.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo could surrender play-calling duties.

McAdoo toyed with the idea in the offseason before deciding against it. The G-Men have averaged an abysmal 17.9 points in 18 games with McAdoo as head coach, so a change is arguably overdue. OC Mike Sullivan would likely take the reins were McAdoo to relinquish them.
