Josmil Pinto is day-to-day with a minor hamstring injury.

It puts him a little behind schedule, but he'll be fine. Expect Pinto to be game-ready sometime next week.
Mar 6 - 12:47 PM

Jimmy Nelson (hamstring) has been cleared for game action after getting through a session of live batting practice Friday.

Nelson is expected to start on Monday or Tuesday. A minor hamstring strain has held him back slightly behind other pitchers, but he's ready to roll now.
Mar 6 - 12:46 PM

Jonathan Lucroy (hamstring) could be ready for Cactus League game sooner than expected.

Lucroy is just over three weeks into his projected 4-6 week timetable for a right hamstring strain. It's not clear when he might be ready to play in games, but it doesn't sound like it will be too long. Lucroy is on pace to be ready for Opening Day, assuming he continues to progress without hitting any bumps in the road.
Mar 6 - 12:45 PM

Josh Reddick was scratched from Friday's lineup due to a right oblique strain.

Oblique strains can be troublesome, but Reddick has enough time to be ready for Opening Day as long as he doesn't suffer a setback. Billy Burns took his spot in the lineup Friday. Reddick batted .264/.316/.446 with 12 longballs for Oakland last season.
Mar 6 - 12:32 PM

Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports that Yoan Moncada is expected in Red Sox' camp "any day now."

The club had originally been hoping to finalize his contract a week ago, but they're still awaiting the results of various tests. There's been no indication to this point that Moncada's $31.5 million deal with the Red Sox might fall through. He'll begin the season in the minor but is expected to move quickly.
Mar 6 - 12:05 PM

Justin Upton was scratched from Friday's lineup due to flu-like symptoms.

He'll return to action in a day or two. Rymer Liriano has taken Upton's spot in left field Friday.
Mar 6 - 11:57 AM

Lucas Duda (oblique) took batting practice on Friday.

It's the first time he's faced live pitching since he strained his oblique just over a week ago. Duda was given a cortisone injection for the ailment and it appears it has helped speed along the healing process. It's not clear when he might be game-ready, but Duda should have plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day as long as he doesn't have a setback.
Mar 6 - 11:47 AM

Stephen Vogt (foot) will run the bases Friday or Saturday.

If that goes well, Vogt will get some at-bats at designated hitter in some Cactus League games soon. His rehab from foot surgery is going well, as Vogt is on track to be ready to roll on Opening Day as long as he can avoid setbacks.
