Sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter that free agent Ray Rice's appeal will argue the videotape from the elevator was edited.

Rice is trying to get his indefinite suspension overturned, but it likely doesn't matter anyway. No team is going to take the public relations hit that would come with pick him up. Regardless, Rice is arguing that the TMZ video was a cleaned-up, whittled down and condensed version of the events that took place in the Atlantic City casino elevator.

RB Danny Woodhead has been listed as the starting running back for the Chargers against the Bills Week 3.

Donald Brown is expected to take over most of Ryan Mathews' (knee) early-down work, but Woodhead should have a big role as well. Brown is the still the superior fantasy play, but both players are startable in every format.
Sep 21 - 12:07 PM

Shane Vereen (shoulder) is active for Week 3 against the Raiders.

Vereen was limited throughout the week and listed as questionable on the injury report. He's an RB2 in a plus matchup against Oakland. Inactive for the Patriots are CB Alfonzo Dennard, RB James White, S Don Jones, OL Josh Kline, OL Ryan Wendell, and DL Zach Moore.
Sep 21 - 12:01 PM

Hakeem Nicks (illness) is active for Sunday's Week 3 game at Jacksonville.

Nicks missed some practice this week, but is ready to go. He'll play far behind T.Y. Hilton though, and is a WR4 at best. The Colts inactives: Da'Rick Rogers, Jerrell Freeman (hamstring), Khaled Holmes (ankle), Lance Louis, Joe Reitz (ankle), Art Jones (ankle) and Chris Carter.
Sep 21 - 11:53 AM

Aaron Dobson is a healthy scratch for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Raiders.

It's one of Bill Belichick's surprises as Dobson was thought to be ascending toward the every-down "X" role. Instead, ineffective Kenbrell Thompkins and Brandon LaFell are active. Dobson is now a drop candidate in 10- and 12-team leagues. Meanwhile, Julian Edelman (back), Shane Vereen (shoulder), and Rob Gronkowski (knee) are active for the Patriots, as expected. James White is a healthy scratch.
Sep 21 - 11:52 AM

Shaun Hill (thigh) is active for Week 3 against the Cowboys.

The Rams don't plan to announce their starter until game-time. Austin Davis is expected to start.
Sep 21 - 11:50 AM

Bills declared RB Bryce Brown, LB Keith Rivers, CB Ross Cockrell, LB Randell Johnson, TE Chris Gragg, OG Cyril Richardson and OT Cyrus Kouandjio inactive for Week 3 against the Chargers.

This is the third game in a row Brown has been a healthy scratch. Anthony Dixon will be the No. 3 back for Buffalo. Keith Rivers is week-to-week with a groin injury. Rookie Preston Brown will start in his place.
Sep 21 - 11:50 AM

Allen Robinson is listed as a starter opposite Cecil Shorts in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Colts.

Allen Hurns (ankle) is active, but it sounds like he'll serve as the No. 3 receiver. It's a monster opportunity for the talented Robinson, although he's going to see a lot of shutdown CB Vontae Davis. Marqise Lee (hamstring) is inactive, along with TE Clay Harbor, OL Austin Pasztor, CB Jeremy Harris, G Tyler Shatley, RB Storm Johnson and WR Tavvares King.
