Donnie Avery (groin) is listed as out for Week 8.

Avery is a non-factor and so are his backups.

Bears WLB Lance Briggs (ribs) is listed as doubtful for Week 8.

Chicago had all kinds of problems in coverage of Charles Clay at the second level last week, primarily due to their injuries at linebacker. They will turn back to Khaseem Greene on the weak side to start in place of Briggs.
Oct 24 - 1:55 PM

Shonn Greene (hamstring) is listed as probable for Week 8 against the Texans.

We're tentatively expecting Bishop Sankey to remain Tennessee's lead runner, but Greene could snipe a few carries, particularly in goal-to-go situations. Greene is more of a threat to Sankey than standalone fantasy option.
Oct 24 - 1:51 PM

The Ravens will start rookie Crockett Gillmore at tight end until Owen Daniels (knee scope) returns.

Daniels probably won't return for 2-4 weeks. Gillmore runs 4.89, but stands 6-foot-6, 260 and had impressive jumps of 10-foot in the broad and 33 1/2" in the vertical at February's Combine. As tight end is a huge part of OC Gary Kubiak's offense, Gillmore is worth a look for desperate TE1 streamers. He's big with long arms, reasonable athleticism, and should be a red-zone weapon.
Oct 24 - 1:50 PM

Packers RCB Sam Shields (knee) is listed as doubtful for Week 8.

He didn't practice all week and won't play at the Superdome. It's an upgrade to Drew Brees' fantasy matchup in Sunday's projected shootout versus Green Bay.

Giovani Bernard (ribs) is listed as probable for Week 8.

Bernard is averaging 3.39 YPC on the season if you leave out his 89-yard touchdown run in Week 6 against the Panthers. He's also on pace for fewer receptions than he had as a rookie. With A.J. Green (toe) listed as doubtful and Marvin Jones on I.R., the Bengals will need Bernard to step up his play to have a chance to stay competitive in Sunday's clash with Baltimore.
Oct 24 - 1:42 PM

A.J. Green (toe) is listed as doubtful for Week 8.

Green missed every day of practice this week, only working off to the side with rehabbing players. Mohamed Sanu will stay in the No. 1 wideout role for Sunday's clash with Baltimore. Sanu struggled to create separation last week, being asked to win on the perimeter. Cincinnati's passing game is likely in for a long day Sunday. They better get their running game kick started.

The Denver Post believes the Broncos will be "hard pressed" to turn back to Montee Ball (groin) as their lead running back when healthy.

We don't think it's likely at all. Ronnie Hillman has given Denver's offense an entirely new dimension with big-play ability on outside runs, whereas Ball struggled mightily when he was asked to move laterally. Ball was effective in a change-of-pace role behind Knowshon Moreno down the stretch last season. That may be his role upon return. Although he is being pulled on goal-line runs, Hillman has a chance to provide borderline RB1 value the rest of the way.
