Zack Greinke struck out seven batters while firing six shutout innings to beat the Pirates on Saturday.

He allowed just three baserunners -- two base hits and one hit batsman -- without issuing a base-on-balls in the ballgame. He went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored a run and now has a .703 OPS on the season as a batter. Greinke improves to 7-5 with a 3.66 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 16 starts. He has amassed 102 strikeouts against 19 walks in 96 innings.

JaCoby Jones went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a steal in Saturday's loss to the Indians.

Jones was the only Tiger to pick up multiple knocks in the loss, as the Motor City Kitties were facing a dominant Trevor Bauer on Saturday. He scored his run on a wild pitch from Bauer in the second inning. In 68 games this season, the 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .235/.285/.393 with five home runs, 19 RBI and six steals. He doesn't offer enough of an all-around game to be fantasy relevant in the vast majority of leagues.

Starling Marte went 1-for-4 and stole a base in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

The Pirates couldn't get much going against Zack Greinke and crew in this one. Marte singled with two outs in the first inning and then stole second base but was left stranded. He has a .273 batting average with nine home runs and 34 RBI. He's stolen 14 bases to generate the bulk of his fantasy value.

Elias Diaz went 2-for-3 and scored a run during Saturday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

He singled and scored on a Jordy Mercy knock in the seventh frame but the game was already out of reach by that point. The Pirates' back-up catcher is slashing a fine .297/.345/.475 with five homers and 15 RBI in 101 at-bats this year.

Jeimer Candelario went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in Saturday's loss to the Indians.

Oh dear. This four-strikeout showing is indicative enough of how Candelario has been going recently, as he's been embroiled in a 4-for-34 slump over his last 10 games. His batting line has dropped from .258/.347/.498 to .244/.348/.467 in that space.

Joe Musgrove let in five runs in four innings and was charged with a loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

He registered only two strikeouts against three walks and seven hits in the abbreviated outing. He was in trouble throughout his time on the mound and was pulled after throwing 70 pitches. This makes four bad starts in a row for the former Astro, who looked great in his first two starts for the Pirates after missing the first two months of the season with a sore shoulder. He falls to 2-3 with a 4.59 ERA after six starts. He has 31 strikeouts and nine walks in 33 1/3 innings total.

Huston Street told The Athletic that he wanted to pitch this season, but he was holding out for an offer from a contender.

Street had a 6.45 ERA in 22 1/3 innings in 2016 and missed almost all of 2017, but it seems he still wanted a guaranteed deal and bullpen spot as a free agent last winter. When it didn't come, he apparently decided to call it quits, though he never did announce his retirement anywhere. Street, who is still just 34 years old, had 324 saves in 13 big-league seasons.

Trevor Bauer allowed one run on five hits while striking out 11 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Tigers.

Bauer has been on an out-and-out strikeout tear of late, with Saturday's 11 whiffs of Tigers batters marking the fifth time in six starts in which he has racked up double-digit strikeouts. The only run to score over his 6 1/3 innings of work came when he uncorked a wild pitch to allow JaCoby Jones to scamper home from third in the second inning. He wrapped up his superlative evening having thrown 112 pitches (72 for strikes). Bauer will bring a 2.44 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 140/35 K/BB ratio (107 innings) into a road showdown with the A's in his next scheduled outing. He's in the midst of putting together a career-best season.
