Andrew McCutchen was 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and two runs scored Friday against the Reds.

McCutchen has gone deep three times in his last seven games and is now up to 15 home runs on the season. The 27-year-old is hitting .372 (16-for-43) this month and owns a fantastic .321/.418/.552 batting line through 91 games this season. With a career-high walk rate, he's really the total package right now.

Mark Buehrle lasted just five innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Friday, allowing a pair of runs on nine hits.

The veteran southpaw also walked one while striking out three on the night. He departed in line for his 11th victory, but his bullpen was unable to hold onto a 5-2 lead. He’ll head into the All-Star break with an impressive 10-6 record, 2.64 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 73/32 K/BB ratio over his first 126 1/3 innings.

Sean Rodriguez belted a game-tying three-run homer in the seventh inning of Friday's loss to the Blue Jays.

The dramatic blast came off Dustin McGowan, pulling the Rays all the way back from an early deficit. He finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting a mere .238/.288/.510 on the season to go compliment his nine homers and 32 RBI.

Ben Zobrist went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays.

His RBI single off Mark Buehrle in the fourth inning pulled the Rays to within 5-2 at the time. With the two-hit effort, he's now hitting .268/.353/.406 on the season to go along with six homers and 22 RBI.

Chris Archer was hit hard in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Friday, surrendering five runs on six hits over his five innings of work.

The young right-hander also issued three free passes while punching out seven on the night. The Jays broke through for three runs in the third inning, and added on a two-run single by Jose Reyes with two outs in the fourth to complete the damage. Even with the rough outing, Archer finishes the first half of the season with a 3.41 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 101/45 K/BB ratio over his 113 1/3 innings.

Alberto Callaspo was forced to leave Friday's game against the Mariners in the second inning due to an apparent hamstring injury.

He appeared to suffer the injury while running to first base during his first at-bat. He was replaced defensively at first base by Nate Freiman, who would be in line for more playing time should Callaspo be forced to miss any significant amount of time. The A's should have an update on his status shortly.

Corey Kluber allowed four runs over six innings in a 7-4 win over the White Sox on Friday.

He struck out five and walked a pair. The four runs allowed were the most Kluber has given up in a start since June 4. Still, thanks to the support from his offense, he improved to 9-6 on the year. Coming off a strong 2013, Kluber has taken things to another level so far this season with a 3.01 ERA and 142/32 K/BB ratio over 131 2/3 innings of work.
Jul 11 - 10:38 PM

Hector Noesi was hit hard for six runs in 4 2/3 innings in Friday's loss to the Indians.

Coming off his strongest outing with the White Sox, Noesi came crashing back down to Earth in this one. He gave up nine hits (including two home runs) and four walks while striking out four batters. The 27-year-old owns an ulgy 5.26 ERA over 87 1/3 innings of work this season and isn't a fantasy option.
