Odell Beckham nabbed 10-of-16 targets for 100 yards Sunday in the Giants' Week 13 loss to the Steelers.
Somehow Beckham was targeted just once in the first half. He made up for it by drawing 15 targets after halftime, but his lack of involvement in the early portion of the game was puzzling to say the least. Beckham salvaged the day with a big fourth quarter, producing 47 yards on five catches over the final 15 minutes. OBJ now has over 1,000 yards receiving, making him the fourth player in NFL history to reach that mark in each of his first three seasons. Beckham will be a no-brainer QB1 against Dallas in Week 14.
Bucs WR Freddie Martino caught 4-of-4 targets for 56 yards in Sunday's Week 13 win over the Chargers.
They lost Cecil Shorts (knee) and Adam Humphries (concussion) in this one, so Martino stepped up to finish second on the Bucs in receiving behind Cameron Brate on a day where Mike Evans (3-38-0) got shut down by Casey Hayward. A third-year UDFA out of "North Greenville," Martino stands 6-foot-0, 198 with 4.49 wheels. We never would anticipate Martino becoming a legitimate fantasy factor, but he suddenly has some opportunity on his side.
Rashad Jennings rushed six times for 19 yards and caught all six of his targets for 34 yards and a touchdown Sunday in the Giants' Week 13 loss to the Steelers.
Jennings did nothing on the ground and was actually given one less carry than Paul Perkins. However, he played a substantial role in the passing game by providing a season-high six catches. Jennings scored his only touchdown on a 13-yard screen pass from Eli Manning about midway through the third quarter. He was fortunate the play held up as Ereck Flowers was clearly guilty of holding. Jennings’ six carries were a season-low. With Perkins cutting into his workload, Jennings won’t be more than an RB3 next week against the Cowboys.
Kirk Cousins completed 21-of-37 passes for 271 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while adding a one-yard touchdown run in the Redskins' Week 13 loss to the Cardinals.
Cousins was quiet before halftime, but he started off the second half with an absolute dime deep down the middle of the field to DeSean Jackson. He capped that drive with a short rushing touchdown on a sneak. After losing the ball on a strip sack to let the Cardinals re-take the lead, Cousins led another solid drive he finished with a 26-yard strike to Jamison Crowder. Unfortunately, Washington could only manage a single field goal the rest of the way, and Cousins ended the game by throwing behind Crowder on what would have been a big gain and potentially a game-tying touchdown. This was not a great performance by Cousins, but he will get a chance to bounce back next week in Philadelphia. The Eagles have been shredded by Aaron Rodgers and Andy Dalton in back-to-back games.
Seth Roberts caught 2-of-5 targets for 18 yards in the Raiders' Week 13 win over the Bills.
He also caught a two-point conversion. Roberts is the Raiders' distant No. 3 receiver who will make a big play here and there. He's not a fantasy option.
Hunter Henry caught his lone target for 14 yards in the Chargers' Week 13 loss to Tampa Bay.
Henry is the lesser part of a committee with Antonio Gates, who runs more routes and plays more snaps than the Chargers' rookie tight end. Henry's time is coming, but it's not this year. He's a touchdown-or-bust streamer at best.
Eli Manning completed 24-of-39 passes for 195 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and rushed once for a loss of one yard Sunday in the Giants' Week 13 loss to the Steelers.
He was sacked twice for a loss of 17 yards. Disastrous might not be the right word for his performance, but Manning certainly wasn’t sharp on Sunday. He threw a brutal red-zone interception in the first half and was picked again on a desperation heave that landed nowhere near his desired target. Manning had a chance to get New York back in the game on a fourth-and-one opportunity from the three-yard line, but couldn’t connect with Will Tye in the end zone. He scored his first touchdown on a screen to Rashad Jennings and added to his tally with a one-yard strike to Sterling Shepard. That touchdown occurred with just 26 seconds remaining. Manning will be an unexciting QB2 next week against the Cowboys.
Antonio Gates caught 4-of-4 targets for 37 yards in the Chargers' Week 13 loss to Tampa Bay.
Gates didn't play every snap, but he came through with clutch receptions in critical passing-down situations when he was in. He is now a rotational tight end with Hunter Henry, rendering both touchdown-or-bust plays in fantasy football.
