Eddie Lacy (ankle) returned to Packers practice Friday.
As expected. Lacy went through his rehab phase Wednesday and Thursday and feels good enough to get out there on Friday. Coach Mike McCarthy already expressed optimism in regards to Lacy's status for Week 15 against Dallas. We'd expect Lacy to play, but owners can protect themselves by adding James Starks.
Jets placed WR Stephen Hill on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
Hill has been battling the knee injury off and on this season. He didn't play last week, and coach Rex Ryan hinted that the second-year receiver could be done for the year earlier in the week. Hill was a colossal disappointment as a sophomore, registering just 24 catches for 342 yards and one touchdown. His quarterback was part of the problem. Hill will look to up his game in 2014.
Bills MLB Kiko Alonso "tweaked" his knee at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Jaguars.
We haven't had a blurb on Alonso since September when he became the second rookie linebacker ever with four interceptions in his first four games. Since then, Alonso has continued his tear. He's the quarterback of the Buffalo defense and checks in as Pro Football Focus' No. 8 overall inside linebacker. Alonso has 131 total tackles and is a strong candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. He's also one of the top linebacker plays in IDP fantasy leagues.
Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) is not practicing Friday.
Jones-Drew was targeting a Friday return all along. It wasn't in the cards. He doesn't need to practice in order to play on Sundays, but MJD is shaping up as a true game-time decision. It's also possible he could be ruled out at some point this weekend. Jordan Todman will start if MJD can't play.
LaVon Brazill (foot) remained absent at Friday's practice.
Brazill hasn't practiced at all this week and has his foot in a boot. He still expects to play Sunday against the Texans. We'll see. If active, Brazill will work in three-wide sets with T.Y. Hilton and Da'Rick Rogers.
Willis McGahee (concussion) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.
McGahee isn't going to play this week after colliding head-on with wrecking ball Patriots LB Brandon Spikes last Sunday. Chris Ogbonnaya and Fozzy Whittaker will handle the work against a painfully bad Bears run defense. Ogobonnaya is the favorite to lead the pack. He has some RB2/flex appeal for Week 15.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis (illness) returned to practice Friday.
Green-Ellis sat out Wednesday and Thursday. He should be okay for Sunday night's division tilt with the Steelers. BJGE is a low-upside flex option.
Vincent Jackson (hamstring) is practicing Friday.
Jackson was limited Wednesday and Thursday. He likely got in another limited session Friday. V-Jax will probably earn a probable tag on the Week 15 injury report. He's our No. 18 receiver in a difficult matchup with the 49ers.
