Dolphins signed OG Jamil Douglas from their practice squad.

With Anthony Steen (ankle) listed as doubtful and Brandon Albert (ankle) questionable for Thursday night, the Dolphins needed an extra body up front. Douglas made six starts for Miami in 2015 but couldn't survive final cuts this summer.

Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) remained limited at Thursday's practice.

Gronk's practice status hasn't changed since the season started. After playing a limited role in Week 3, Gronkowski should be in line for close to a full workload Sunday against Buffalo. Assuming all that time off didn't sap him of his superpowers, Gronk will be a top-five tight end option for Week 4.

Isaiah Crowell (knee) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.

He was limited on Wednesday. There's no longer any doubt (not that there ever was) about Crowell's status for Week 4. Crowell is tied for second in the league in rushing yards and will be a solid RB2 Sunday against Washington.

Patriots QBs Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) and Jacoby Brissett (thumb) remained "limited" on Thursday.

It's still unclear who will be starting against the Bills. CSN New England reported Wednesday morning that Garoppolo still doesn't have "fully mobility in his throwing shoulder." Brissett seems further along in his recovery. It should be considered far from a certainly Garoppolo suits up. Another Brissett start would downgrade the Patriots' skill players across the board, save LeGarrette Blount.

Eli Rogers (toe) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.

He's been dealing with turf toe. Earlier this week coach Mike Tomlin called Rogers "very questionable" for Week 4. We're guessing he won't be out there Sunday against Kansas City. Rogers' absence would open up more playing time for Sammie Coates and Darrius Hayward-Bey.
Sep 29 - 3:39 PM

Russell Wilson (knee, ankle) has "no doubt" he'll start Sunday's game against the Jets.

"I'll be ready to go," Wilson said. It's just the latest declaration he'll be starting despite getting his knee twisted up in extremely awkward fashion last Sunday. Wilson has a juicy matchup with a Jets pass defense allowing a league-worst 9.7 yards per attempt, but still gets docked a few spots in the ranking for his ill health. The Seahawks are on bye in Week 5.
Sep 29 - 3:36 PM

Alshon Jeffery remained limited in Thursday's practice, getting listed with a hamstring issue in addition to his knee ailment.

Jeffery seems to get hurt every other practice. The fact that he was still "limited" — as opposed to DNP — is good news, but we suppose his Week 4 status is back in question. A "limited" session Friday would have Jeffery on track to play against the Lions.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) could miss up to four weeks.

Including this week's absence, Stewart has now missed 25 games since the start of 2012. Stewart is an effective workhorse when healthy but that's rarely been the case. Cameron Artis-Payne and Fozzy Whittaker saw similar workloads last week with Artis-Payne going for 58 yards on 13 touches while Whittaker tallied 56 yards on 10 touches. Until a frontrunner emerges from the Carolina backfield, it's hard to endorse either of them as anything more than flex plays.
