Profootballtalk reports Panthers RE Greg Hardy's trial for domestic abuse has been postponed until after the season.
The trial had been set for mid-November. It's unclear if or how this will affect Hardy's indefinite suspension, though NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports it means Hardy won't play this season. He'll surely argue that he should be allowed to suit up as his legal situation plays out. The Panthers' defense has desperately missed Hardy's dominating presence off the edge.
Jimmy Graham (shoulder) is active for Week 9 against the Panthers.
Graham is still operating at less than 100 percent, but looked far more comfortable in Week 8 than he did in Week 7, catching five passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. He's Rotoworld's No. 3 tight end for Week 9.
DeAngelo Williams (ankle) is active for Week 9 against the Saints.
Coach Ron Rivera has already said that D-Will will get the "start" after being sidelined for four weeks, but he'll form a committee with Jonathan Stewart. We'd consider J-Stew the slightly better fantasy play, though neither is an inspiring FLEX option for Week 9. Inactive for the Panthers are LT Byron Bell, RG Trai Turner, RB Fozzy Whittaker, OG Amini Silatolu, slot CB Bene Benwikere, WR Philly Brown and S Thomas DeCoud. UDFA David Foucault is getting the start on Cam Newton's blindside.
Saints RBs Khiry Robinson and Pierre Thomas (shoulder) are inactive for Week 9 against the Panthers.
Robinson made the trip to Charlotte, and is looking good for a Week 10 return. Thomas remains week to week. Also inactive for the Saints are FB Austin Johnson, LB David Hawthorne, C Jonathan Goodwin, WR Nick Toon and CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste. Mark Ingram will again serve as the Saints' exclusive early-down hammer, with Travaris Cadet picking up Thomas' pass-catching slack.
Chiefs WR Junior Hemingway (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 9.
The ineffective role player played through his hamstring injury in Week 8, and avoided setbacks. Hemingway is off the fantasy radar.
Jamaal Charles is on the Week 9 injury report with a back injury, but is practicing in full.
Charles isn't injured. He's a top-three option against the Jets in a game the Chiefs should control from start to finish.
Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was upgraded to "full" on Thursday.
The WR5/6 will be fine for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Cecil Shorts is listed on the Week 9 injury report with a groin issue, but is practicing in full.
Shorts tweaked something in last week's loss to the Dolphins — apparently his groin — but only missed 2-3 snaps. Even with six teams on bye for Week 9, Shorts is best utilized as a WR4 in standard leagues.
