Martin Perez gave up five runs and nine hits in five innings Monday in a no-decision against the Rays.

Perez doesn't win any games by himself, but he usually doesn't lose them either; this is the first time all season he's given up as many as five runs. His ERA increased from 3.77 to 4.19.

Evan Longoria homered and knocked in four Monday against the Rangers.

Longoria could use some more singles, but at least he does have eight homers to go along with 13 doubles. He's not a top-10 fantasy third baseman at the moment.

Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and a walk against the Rays on Monday.

Choo's homer was his seventh. It's be nice if he were more effective on the basepaths, but with his OBP up in the .370 range, he should be the Rangers' regular leadoff hitter at this point.
May 30 - 12:28 AM

Joey Gallo homered, doubled and walked Monday against the Rays.

Gallo remained one homer behind the major league leader after Aaron Judge also went deep today. The Rangers used him at first base tonight. He'll also do some DHing while the Rangers get him ready to play left field now that Adrian Beltre is back at third base.
May 30 - 12:26 AM

Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two walks as the Tigers topped the Royals 10-7 on Monday.

It's Cabrera's first three-RBI game since April 14. He's hitting .342 with eight RBI and 10 walks in 11 games since bottoming out at .238/.319/.396 on May 14. He's at .266/.374/.417 now.
May 30 - 12:23 AM

Francisco Rodriguez gave up two runs in the seventh inning Monday to take a blown save against the Royals.

Eric Hosmer hit a game-tying homer off him. Rodriguez did end up with the win after the Tigers came through in the top of the eighth tonight. Still, he didn't help his cause. Justin Wilson ended up notching his fourth save with a hitless ninth.
May 30 - 12:21 AM

Jason Hammel lasted 4 1/3 innings and gave up four runs Monday against the Tigers.

The Royals need Hammel to come alive with Danny Duffy down, but it showed no signs of happening tonight. He walked four, and his ERA increased to 6.18. Still, the Royals probably can't take him out of the rotation now.
May 30 - 12:20 AM

Joakim Soria took his fourth blown save and second loss after giving up four runs Monday against the Tigers.

Soria entered with a 7-6 lead in the eighth and didn't retire any of the five batters he faced. It caused his ERA to double from 1.59 to 3.18.
