Larry Fitzgerald sat out of Tuesday's unofficial practice with a knee issue.

It's almost certainly just a precaution. With the Cardinals playing on Monday night, they won't release their first official injury report until Thursday. It's something for Fitz's owners to be aware of, but not to fret over.

Eagles RB Chris Polk (hamstring) did "everything" in Tuesday's practice, and expects to be ready for Sunday's opener.

Polk is finally rounding to full health after missing the majority of camp. Although Darren Sproles is technically the Eagles' No. 2 running back, Polk is LeSean McCoy's direct backup and handcuff.

Arian Foster (back, hamstring) says he feels "wonderful" physically.

Foster sat out the entire preseason for the second straight year, but probably could have suited up for the Texans' final two games. "I’m excited about (Sunday)," Foster said Tuesday. "I can’t wait to play football." Foster has the right role for fantasy success, but an increasingly-worrisome injury history. For now, he's a borderline RB1.

Junior Galette's player rep denies that he's reached a multi-year extension with the Saints.

"We have not agreed to a deal with the Saints for Junior Galette," his rep said on Twitter, adding multiple exclamation points for emphasis. Although Galette's agent should obviously be taken at his word, it doesn't mean a deal isn't close. One will likely be finalized before the end of the week.

Steven Jackson (hamstring) confirmed he's ready for Sunday's opener.

Jackson sat out the entire preseason, but could have played in the finale. "I'm extremely excited for Week 1," Jackson said. "It's been a training camp that I missed the majority of the time, but I've been working hard physically and mentally to prepare for this coming Sunday; I feel good about it." Jackson could be on a snap count against the Saints after missing so much time in August, but will be a borderline RB2 for what could be a shootout.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick says the team hasn't made a final decision about Rob Gronkowski's (knee) Week 1 status.

"I'm glad that Rob's optimistic about this situation," Belichick said of Gronk's Monday pronouncement that he'll be playing. "With all due respect to Rob — I'm glad he feels the way he does — but, in the end, we'll have to make the decision we feel like is best for the team and we'll do that as we go through the week." It's perhaps the least-surprising development of the week that Belichick is trying to confuse the situation, but it's highly doubtful Gronk would have gone on the record unless he was sure he was suiting up. We expect him to be out there against the Dolphins.
Sep 2 - 1:21 PM

Brandon Bostick (fibula) remained sidelined at Packers practice Tuesday.

Bostick is going to miss the Thursday night opener in Seattle. Andrew Quarless and rookie Richard Rodgers will handle tight end duties for Green Bay.

Coach Mike Tomlin confirmed Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount will both play Week 1 against the Browns.

There was never any doubt. Fantasy owners can pen Bell into lineups without hesitation. Tomlin is paid to win football games, not hand out team-imposed suspensions. Bell will carry the load. Tomlin suggested he could even see upwards of 25 carries. Blount will mix in on early downs and short-yardage situations. Neither player is likely to face league discipline until the 2015 season.
