Tyson Chandler was a DNP-CD on Friday against the Bulls.

On Arizona Sports radio today, general manager Ryan McDonough hinted that the team talked to Chandler to make sure it was OK that his role would diminish with the youth movement. McDonough called Chandler "phenomenal" about accepting the change, and added they would've considered trading him if Chandler wasn't OK with that . He probably won't rest every game, but there's no doubt this won't be the last time he is out of the lineup going forward. He's a drop candidate due to the incoming DNPs.

Brandon Knight was a DNP-CD on Friday.

With the Suns wanting to get a look at Tyler Ulis, Knight just won't have any opportunity unless Eric Bledsoe or Devin Booker miss a game. Drop him.

Ricky Rubio double-doubled with 13 points and 14 assists on Friday vs. the Mavericks.

He was a popular name at the deadline and there was a good chance that he was going to end up with the Knicks, but the Wolves stood pat and will likely roll with Rubio as their starting PG until a playoff spot is out of reach -- The Wolves are only three losses behind the eighth-seeded Nuggets. Rubio shot 6-of-13 from the field in 35 minutes with five rebounds and three steals, and it's also encouraging that the Wolves are utilizing more two-PG lineups with Zach LaVine (knee) out for the season. Rubio's owners can breathe easy.

DeMar DeRozan took over against the Celtics for a career-high 43 points during a 107-97 win on Friday, adding five rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

Without Kyle Lowry (wrist), it was DeMar DeRozan over everything. DeRozan has a whopping 41.4 usage rate in his 517 minutes without Lowry this season, so he would be looking at some massive output while Lowry is on the shelf. The new Raptors, Serge Ibaka and P.J. Tucker, had a seamless transition on their new team and those lower-usage guys are another positive for DeMar. Expect big numbers from the All-Star.

Andrew Wiggins scored 27 points on 11-of-21 shooting in Friday's win over the Mavericks.

It would be tough to find a hotter player in the NBA right now. Wiggins added seven rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and one 3-pointer, and he's now scored 25+ points in seven straight games. Wiggins is averaging a ridiculous 32.8 points on 56.3 percent shooting with 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.0 3-pointers over his last five outings, so he's quickly developing into a complete player in both real life and in fantasy. He just turned 22 years old on Thursday.

Cory Joseph scored 11 points in a start against the Celtics on Friday, adding one rebound, six assists, three steals and one turnover in 36 minutes.

He started out slow in this game, but was still able to turn in a decent stat line. Kyle Lowry (wrist) is going to need further evaluation and was in a brace on Friday night, so Joseph is likely looking at another game in the starting lineup. If you need a point guard or want some Kyle Lowry insurance, it's not a bad idea to add Joseph in most leagues until Lowry gets a clean bill of health.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 26 points with 18 rebounds, three assists, one steal and seven turnovers in a 97-84 win over the Mavericks on Friday.

He had 20 points and 10 rebounds alone in the second half, and this was his 13th straight game with 20+ points. Towns shot 12-of-18 from the field and 2-of-3 from the line, and there's simply no reason to sell high even though he's been the best player in standard leagues for over a month. He's just that good.
Feb 24 - 11:57 PM

Serge Ibaka made an instant impact in his first game as a Raptor during a win over the Celtics on Friday, scoring 15 points with seven rebounds, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

Good defense will work for any team. Coach Dwane Casey's frontcourt of Ibaka, P.J. Tucker and DeMarre Carroll was outstanding late in this game as the closing trio with DeMar DeRozan and Cory Joseph in the backcourt. In fact, the Carroll-Tucker-Ibaka frontcourt had a +97.9 net rating in nine minutes tonight. Ibaka's fantasy value should take a hit, but he could still wind up flirting with early round value.
