Todd Frazier went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a three-run home run in Saturday's Cactus League game versus the Cubs.

Frazier homered on Thursday as well, now sitting on four spring blasts along with 12 RBI. His spring has been indicative of what to expect during the regular season: a mediocre average (.262, 11-for-42) with good power and occasional speed.

Rangers released RHP Juan Carlos Oviedo.

Oviedo was told he wouldn't break camp with the club, so he asked to be released in hopes of catching on elsewhere. The 33-year-old had a 3.69 ERA with the Rays last season, but his best days are surely behind him.

Corey Dickerson left Saturday's Cactus League game with lower back tightness.

Dickerson exited after the third inning but said it was mostly a precautionary move. It's not something to be too concerned about, and he should be back in action soon.

Daniel Murphy (hamstring) took five at-bats in a minor league game Saturday.

Murphy is trying to get back for the start of the regular season, but he hasn't progressed to playing the field and time is running out. That he's able to hit is a good sign that he's not far off from a return, though. Even if Murphy starts the year on the disabled list, it isn't likely to be a long stay.

Kelly Johnson doubled and walked twice Saturday as the Braves beat a Blue Jays split-squad 5-3.

Despite starting off 2-for-19, Johnson is up to .273/.385/.523 with two homers in 44 at-bats this spring. He's made a very good case for a bench spot, but if the Braves would prefer to go younger, perhaps Johnson will catch on elsewhere.

Roberto Osuna was removed from his appearance Saturday against the Braves after retiring just one of the five batters he faced.

The 20-year-old Osuna essentially clinched a bullpen spot earlier this week, but a disastrous final few appearances could still get him sent to the minors. It's just clearly not the plan right now. Before today, he had pitched 9 2/3 scoreless innings with an 8/2 K/BB ratio this spring.

Michael Saunders (knee) said he hopes to start light running exercises in the next few days.

Saunders has been hitting in minor league games in recent days, but he's yet to run the bases. The outfielder is recovering from February knee surgery and, while he won't be ready for the season, Saunders could return by mid-April if all goes well.

Jacob deGrom limited the Nationals to one run and four hits over seven innings in a win Saturday.

Bryce Harper positively crushed a home run off deGrom, but that was the only problem with the right-hander's outing. The 2014 NL Rookie of the Year should remain a very strong starter this year, though the Mets' poor defense will take at least a minor toll on his fantasy value.
