Jordan Reed (hamstring) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Reed isn't going to play this week, leaving tight end duties to Niles Paul once again. Paul is a high-end TE2 with TE1 upside this week in Philadelphia.

Hakeem Nicks (illness) remained sidelined at Colts practice Friday.

Nicks has missed the past two practices, leaving his status for Week 3 against the Jaguars in question. He's no more than a WR4, even in the plus matchup.
Sep 19 - 11:22 AM

Knowshon Moreno (elbow) has told teammates that he plans to be back in the lineup Week 6.

Moreno was originally given a 4-8 week timetable for recovery after dislocating his elbow last week against the Bills. A Week 6 return would be right at four weeks, and comes directly after the Dolphins' Week 5 bye. Players are always more optimistic about their own injuries, so we're not going to hold Moreno to this. Owners need to continue to stash Moreno. Lamar Miller will handle lead-back duties in his absence. Damien Williams and Orleans Darkwa are Nos. 2 and 3.

Eagles first-round OLB Marcus Smith has been getting reps at inside linebacker at practice this week.

The expectation is that he'll get hit first defensive snaps of his career at the spot vacated by ILB Mychal Kendricks (calf). Kendricks isn't going to play against the Redskins, and backups Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho can't cover backs or tight ends. Smith can, and he's expected to see some run in sub-packages.

A.J. Green (toe) said he "feels good" and plans to play Sunday against the Titans.

After returning to practice Thursday, Green said Friday morning that there's no soreness in his toe, and if he feels like this on Sunday, he's going to be out there. We still need to keep a close eye on Green up through Sunday morning. For now, he can be penciled into lineups as a low-end WR1. There's a heightened chance for aggravation. Green's not a recommended FanDuel play.

Giants OC Ben McAdoo said whatever they get from Odell Beckham (hamstring) this season "will be a good bonus."

Not exactly what most teams, especially bad ones like the Giants, expect from No. 12 overall picks. Beckham hasn't practiced fully in nearly three months, as he's been painfully slow to recover from a pulled hamstring. When Beckham does return, he's going to have some serious depth chart climbing to do.

Packers coaches are anxious to see Brandon Bostick get back on the field on offense.

Bostick fractured his fibula in the preseason and made his debut last week against the Jets. He didn't play any offensive snaps, but TEs coach Jerry Fontenot said "he's on his way. We're getting there." Andrew Quarless and rookie Richard Rodgers have been handling tight end duties, but have brought nothing to the table as pass catchers. Bostick is the best athlete of the group. Once he gets his legs back under him, expect Bostick to become a major part of the offense.

Sam Young will be the Jaguars' starting right tackle this week against the Colts.

Young replaces since-released RT Cameron Bradfield. He started four games at right tackle for the Bills in 2012, surrendering one sack, three hurries, and four QB hits. He's played just 27 offensive snaps since. Luckily for Young, the Colts don't have much of a pass rush off the edge. He'll see a lot of Erik Walden.
