Jose Martinez (groin) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Palm Beach on Friday.

Martinez played in some extended spring training contests before being cleared to participate in some "official" games. He's tracking toward an early June return, assuming there are no hiccups during his rehab.

Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie on Friday.

Cespedes will likely remain with St. Lucie through the weekend before being activated on Monday when the Mets return home, assuming all goes well. He's been out since late April with a strained hamstring.

Stephen Piscotty is not in the Cardinals' lineup Friday.

Piscotty is just 3-for-19 at the plate since returning from a hamstring issue, so he'll get a day off. Aledmys Diaz is also sitting out, as the Cards have Tommy Pham and Randal Grichuk in the corner outfield spots and Greg Garcia at shortstop.
May 26 - 4:53 PM

Brock Holt (vertigo) will work out on the field and travel with the Red Sox but isn't close to returning to game action.

Holt was pulled off his rehab assignment due to ongoing vertigo symptoms. The feeling is that he'll return at some point this season, but it's totally up in the air as to when that might be.
May 26 - 4:51 PM

Manuel Margot (calf) was wearing a walking boot on his right leg Friday.

Margot is out of the lineup for a second straight game due to a sore right calf. It doesn't appear the disabled list is under consideration at this point, but it's unclear when he might return to action. Allen Cordoba is in center field Friday.

An MRI has revealed that Chris Heisey suffered a complete right biceps rupture.

However, Heisey has been told he doesn't need surgery and can't do any more damage to the tendon, so he's going to attempt to play through it. It's unclear when he might be activated.
May 26 - 4:32 PM

J.A. Happ (elbow) could rejoin the Blue Jays' rotation as soon as Tuesday versus the Reds.

Happ was touched up for three runs on seven hits over just three innings in a rehab start with High-A Dunedin on Thursday, but the important thing is his elbow felt good. The Blue Jays could still choose to stretch him out more with another rehab outing, but it sounds like there's a good chance he'll be back next week, whether it's the beginning or the end of the week.
May 26 - 4:29 PM

Cesar Hernandez is not in the Phillies' lineup Friday due to a slight groin injury.

It's something that's been bothering him a bit of late, although it sounds like he'll probably be back in there Saturday. Andres Blanco is handling second base Friday.
