Stephen Drew (back) is not in Saturday's lineup.

Drew played through a back issue on Friday, so the Red Sox don't want to take any chances. The injury isn't considered serious, but he'll get the night off against left-hander Scott Diamond.
May 18 - 4:00 PM

Shane Victorino (back) is not in Saturday's lineup against the Twins.

Victorino still isn't 100 percent after his back tighten up Thursday. The Red Sox don't expect him to need a stint on the disabled list. Victorino could return to the lineup by early next week.
May 18 - 3:55 PM

David Phelps tossed seven innings of one-run ball in a 7-2 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

It was the longest outing of his career. Phelps scattered six hits while walking three and notching eight strikeouts. The only run scored on an RBI single by Colby Rasmus in the fourth inning. Phelps has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last three starts and owns a 3.83 ERA and 46/18 K/BB ratio over 42 1/3 innings of work this season. He's gaining momentum in fantasy leagues.
May 18 - 3:52 PM

Brandon Morrow yielded five runs in five innings Saturday in a loss to the Yankees.

Recently sidelined due to back and neck tightness, this was his first start since May 5. Morrow gave up seven hits, including a pair of two-run home runs to Robinson Cano. He struck out two and walked none in the loss and now owns a 5.16 ERA through eight starts this season. He'll hope for better results next week against the Orioles.
May 18 - 3:51 PM

Robinson Cano launched a pair of two-run homers in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays.

It was the 12th multi-homer game of his career and his second of the season. The 30-year-old is now tied for the American League lead with 12 homers. He's the cream of the crop among fantasy second baseman and could get even better as the Yankees' lineup gets healthier.
May 18 - 3:50 PM

Travis Hafner (shoulder) clubbed a two-run homer in his return to action Saturday.

It sounds like his shoulder is fine. Hafner now has seven homers in 100 at-bats this season, including five in just 54 at-bats at Yankee Stadium. The 35-year-old is not a good bet to hold up, but he should continue to be a useful option in daily fantasy leagues.
May 18 - 3:49 PM

Joe Mauer (back) returned to the Twins' lineup Saturday.

Mauer was held out of Friday's game with lower back stiffness, but it was never a major concern. He's batting in the No. 2 spot Saturday and will serve as the Twins' designated hitter against the Red Sox.
May 18 - 3:49 PM

Athletics activated OF Chris Young from the 15-day disabled list.

Young, sidelined since April 29, is finally healthy enough to return. With Josh Reddick on the DL and Seth Smith slumping, Young should see plenty of playing time in the Athletics' outfield.
